Denver recently moved the rideshare pickup as well - now it’s right next to where the taxis line up.

The automatic is significantly less fun.

Now playing

Dubya was throwing some smoke back in 2001.

Handsome pup you’ve got there, but you may want to consider something like a Sprinter van if he’s your sizing criteria...

looking at midsize SUVs and Crossovers. The rear cargo space is horrible

This is fine at, say, the airport (although pricy) but if you actually need them to come to you, Uber/Lyft still has a far superior user experience. Taxi apps seem to be pretty universally terrible still. Calling the cab company results in a lot of waiting and wondering if anyone is coming.

I think it really depends on your own habits and looking through everything being collected to see what has meaning for you.

No, 40k a year would be obscenely high mileage for a car to average.

What’s more chickenshit than fucking with a man’s automobile? I mean, don’t fuck with another man’s vehicle.

Then there’s people like my dad, who buy nothing but $2000 beaters, and just keep like 5-6 of them around for when one inevitably breaks down.

They also don’t have diesel (at least around here), so oil burners need not apply.

15-year ARM or GTFO

Not on a 7-year loan, but I’ve seen it where they have promotions for something like a 4-year term with low (or zero) APR, beating whatever rate they’re offering in 24- and 36- month terms.

I have a VW Alltrack wagon, which is on the smaller side for wagons, and we’ve looked at the Q5 too. It would be great to have the towing capacity of the Q5 but it doesn’t really gain us anything on the interior. I’ve had sedans forever, and the best decision I made was trading up to a wagon. I feel I get (almost) all

wagons tend to be longer than the crossovers that share the same chassis but but the crossovers meet or exceed the wagon’s cargo capacity

My station wagon with a home depot run that’s 20% over the GVWR can still stop and turn on a dime compared to a big rig. Going from there to “you’ve got blood on your hands” is a pretty darn big logical leap. Actually, given the statistics associated with driving in general I’d bet I’m putting myself at more risk

I can see it if you’re overloading the vehicle and acting like you haven’t, but that’s not what happens in reality. You take measures to mitigate risk and annouce yourself, such as reducing speed, using hazard lights, having a chase/follow vehicle, etc.

I like the idea of integrating them with your roof if the tech gets cheap enough. We live in a hail-prone area and most people will end up re-roofing their house every ~10-15 years or so because of hail damage. Ours was done in 2012 and I’m hoping by the time we need another roof we can do PV.

Neutral: Elon being Elon, and the various issues with SolarCity (now Tesla) and their business dealings aside, residential solar still isn’t cost effective (at least not now).

I don’t know about the SEL but I’m in the US and have an ‘18 Alltrack SE (mid-level trim) with a manual.
