Well, there can't be any more winter storms, per se, because it's now spring. There can sure as hell be more spring storms... In this part of the country it's been known to snow occasionally into June.

I still kick myself for not making the time to go see a shuttle launch before they were done.

Aren't those thresholds usually for obstacle avoidance on landing, like if there's a building or something in the approach path? It would make sense they allow you to start a takeoff roll in that zone, if so.

The space shuttle was awesome, but it never really achieved its goal of being an inexpensively reusable launch platform. The cost between missions to get the shuttles back to launch ready was too high.

When you refer to rates I'm assuming you mean for service and parts. I've found that dealers in my part of the country are actually quite competitive in their pricing for service and parts, strangely enough. Not 100% mind you, but quite close.

Same here! That and my commute is about a mile, now.

Nope, wouldn't be possible, really. Although E-470 does bypass Denver completely for through traffic (for a hefty sum), it doesn't help anyone trying to get downtown.

Side note: someone needs to make a better 3D model of the bean stack!

I wish they'd do something like this in Denver. The I-25 corridor from Broadway up to I-70 is an eyesore. Especially the section that divides Highlands and LoDo. Never happen, though. Instead it seems like they are widening and modernizing it from the south upwards.

Not with that attitude we won't.

26 and counting for me... It really is an immensely helpful app. The food database is amazing too. They did a great job!

Fighting for existence isn't quite accurate anymore (at least outside the consumer market). For commercial lighting LED is approaching price parity with fluorescent/HID equivalent lighting.

Anecdotally, their facial recognition was able to identify me and some friends of mine of similar age accurately in a 25-year old picture (I'm 31). That's pretty damn impressive, even if the percentages aren't.

This dual-mode operation would also allow for things like self-parking cars, so I could see it.

Have none of these places heard of these things called area lights? They are handy for, you know, illuminating parking lots and such.

I dunno if they count, but the plain "yellow corn" Doritos taste great with dip.

(in case Kinja eats the link, it's supposed to be a video of the space shuttle Columbia re-entry and landing from STS-65)

This is what I thought of when reading the title:

It is not extraordinary for airlines to make exceptions to policies for bereavement and medical emergencies.
