I don't think it's that big a deal, although it is annoying. If it were truly randomly rebooting that would be a different thing. I'm guessing if it resprings during, say, a phone call, you probably don't even drop the call.

I have this bug. Is it really restarting? Seems to recover far too quickly. I suspect it's merely respringing (restarting the springboard). It would make more sense anyway, as the springboard was probably modified heavily for ios7 whereas the core OS components that would cause random reboots such as the kernel or

Why? Do you wipe your butt before you sit down? Do you not use toilet paper? If you're talking about airborne bacteria, what about your toothbrush? Your towels? Whatever else is in the restroom?

Edit: And if you don't have a tool belt and are working on a ladder, I don't know how safe it is to be trying to reconfigure this thing and hold on at the same time... better to just have all the tools ready.

For $35 couldn't you just buy all four of these tools (of comparable quality, at least) individually?

No, what I'm saying is that the video image is already "zoomed" in that it is cropping the sensor. Here's an illustration:

Before I went to college and had to get a "real" computer (as my father was fond of saying), I had a mac running OS7 or 8 or whatever, and I always loved the Casady & Greene app called Soundjam MP, which incidentally was bought by Apple and turned into iTunes 1.0, which by comparison was a horrible, featureless buggy

That's what I assumed.

Uh, this article is about making butter...

Portraits.

It is well documented that the iphone uses only the center 1920x1080 pixels to record video. It does not use all of the pixels. You can verify this for yourself by comparing the crop factor when taking pictures on an iphone versus taking video. Perhaps those particular pixels are wired differently, but I doubt it.

The google drive desktop client is buggy. It seems to like to "disconnect" on me randomly, and sometimes things just don't sync for hours at a time. I wish they would work on that a little bit before adding new features. Dropbox has always been rock solid and as a result I ditched GDrive and bought more dropbox space.

Even better if you could make a system wide setting to do this, which makes me wonder if one already exists (for jailbroken iOS devices or rooted android devices).

This app would be so much better if it was able to actually record 1080p in portrait, but I suspect it cannot due to some limitation of the iOS app sandbox.

Actually, people around here do the zipper more often than not. I think deep down everyone is aware of what should be done, they just sometimes forget.

Farms.

Maybe next year, the prices will get down below $300 and I'll be able to convince my boss to accept the expense report for 2 of these babies on my desk.

I think that is a limitation of the current HDMI spec, not the monitor, no?

In the past century we have already made huge leaps in seismic design and earthquake engineering, so presumably 300 years in the future they will have pretty much figured out how to mitigate all but the absolute worst of the worst quakes.

I was addressing the comment you made:
