I think it is more an issue with the software than the hardware - iOS 6 just has a lot of bugs that affect battery life, on the 5 and previous phones as well.

They couldn't have made milk white, water blue, coffee brown, chocolate red, air grey?

Yeah, I don't think that's really applicable to the generation as a whole, but definitely a valid point. People who graduated college in 2007-2009 were basically fucked. I am a millenial but graduated in '06 and was never unemployed after that. I thank FSM for that, most definitely.

I think my favorite Douglas airliner will always be the DC-3.

I say Black friday, 2015.

They are those low-profile Dell enclosures, and work great as HTPCs. I upgraded the GPU in one so it could handle 1080p, and we use it for TV/movies. We also have a TV in the bedroom with an HTPC but if I'm honest, we never use that TV.

I think my macbook stayed on (not sleeping, actively on) for about 8 months. It was my media server for a while. Then we got a bunch of old computers from work, one is in each TV stand and one sits in the closet doing server duty. I hardly even turn on the laptop anymore unless I'm traveling.

Very true! I just thought I'd throw it in there because birds (granted, multiple birds) have indeed taken down an airliner.

Where do you shop for airfare? I'm genuinely curious. I was definitely not expecting to have this debate when mentioning the $500, one-way fare. I'm finding all kinds of flights in the $300 range for that route.

Coach is $500+ one-way domestic? I think you need a new travel agent.

These conveniences still exist for the very rich, but there was a time when all of us had access to a fantastic world in the sky.

My friend had an LG refrigerator with digital controls. Thing crashed all the time and would stop refrigerating until you rebooted it. He used to wake up to a warm fridge at least once a week.

You mean like the source link, at the end of the article?

I'm all for driving into blizzards for fun, but I prefer having proper equipment. The ST stays in the garage and it's the Taco's time to shine. The nice thing there is that you can have either 2WD or 4WD depending on how sideways you'd like to be. There is one parking lot just down the street with no obstacles that

I like the sentiment but being inflexible about it just makes that person difficult to work with. I have worked with people who insist on having meetings to work out every little thing. Mind you, these are people with whom I am consulting, and their offices are across town usually (and they prefer not to conference
