YNAB. Each paycheck that comes in I zero out in my budget. I average all my variable expenses from the past year by dividing it by 26 (biweekly paycheck!). So increased utilities costs in winter are offset in the warmer months. I don't use credit cards, though I have them to keep the credit score up. I save up for car

Um, no. At least for progressive lenses. Prices are great, but trying to get my progressive lenses done correctly to six (SIX!) returns before they got them right.

Nexus 5 owner here. Not rooted. Other than a couple of apps, I found no need to venture beyond "pure" android.

I'm gonna agree here. Sure it would be nice to capture the moment, I've done so a number of times. But really, if it's not on your timeline, it never really happened?

Love this, and a great reminder (for me at least) to not drive stupid and let go of the road rage.

(shaking head)

This. I own a 2003 Honda Civic DX. Its one option on it is dual side airbags. 5-speed manual transmission. No A/C. No ABS. Not even a CD player. Manual windows and locks. I recently drove from Maine to NYC and back over Memorial Day weekend and got 38 MPG. And I enjoyed it despite not having the "necessities" of

Bandits at the Boston Marathon? Sure, but they used to run without bib numbers. Bandits using forged bibs are just plain sleazy.

I owned an Cirrus V6. Nice car, but that transmission sucked. Wasted a perfectly good motor.

Now that's cheap! I remember someone doing a test of pour over drippers and they concluded that the Hario design was overrated. I wonder how your coffee tastes using this?

Stuck for now using a measuring cup, but this is on my lust list.

Yes, getting good flavor from the correct amount of beans requires a digital scale.

+1 for this except I do use the plastic version. I'm too cheap.

Vote: You Need A Budget (YNAB)

Kind of like a crowd-sourced NSA of the road? Yeah, that's a great idea.

I agree with getting an aisle seat: I have an absurd need to go to the bathroom and sitting in a window seat stresses me out. Best seat to get for the money is the bulkhead aisle seat. All that extra legroom for an extra $50 is so worth it for flights over 5 hours.

I love the Altimax Arctics too! My car is as basic as it comes: manual tranny, no traction control and no antilock brakes. Not having ALB was the main reason for getting snow tires. I never ever worry about how crappy the roads get here during Maine winters, other than wondering if the snow is too high to drive

Do any of those Alamos have a basement?

I like this idea. I've wanted to go back to journaling but with more focus than random scribblings. This appeals to my GTD mindset in an analog way. I've been using Doit.im but I like the flexibility of journaling and making notes that no app can satisfy.

I always wanted to commit $400/month to paying off my debt. I would always fail because by the time the due date rolled around, I didn't have the $400. So I changed to paying off debt biweekly when my paycheck hit my direct deposit. So I pay $200 every two weeks before anything else. This not only keeps me on track
