I rewatched Mulholland Drive last week and had somehow completely forgotten he was in it. Imagine my surprise that the man has hardly aged a day in 17 years.

"I believe you."
"You do?"
"Why wouldn't I? I fucking died and woke up as President in a world where I could only get into a safety bunker by plopping my dick on a scanner."

Right?! And that world seems infinitely more terrifying to me than the world we've been watching, even with its Guilty Remnants and Holy Waynes.

I believe Nora, and yet, part of me finds it difficult to believe she'd just leave the Other Place without making some kind of contact with her family. Maybe because it felt a bit cliche that she would go through all that trouble to simply not make contact (on the principle that less is more in drama), but it would

What's crazy is that they don't even need to completely overhaul the game so that there are no hidden idol-type twists at all. The only thing they need to do is not rebury the hidden idols after they're played. There are three idols, and once they're found, that's it. No more idols.

-After that bullshit first tribal, I was hoping Sia would save the day and give Cirie a million dollars.

I liked the format, but didn't like how Jeff once again has to hammer home a theme. He can tell the jury to consider the three O's all they want, but the jury is going to vote however they damn well feel like voting. And that's what makes this game great. Every vote has equal power, and each juror can vote on whatever

I love the new jury format, largely because it allows the jurors to react to one another. In the individual questioning format, the jurors mostly remained quiet and didn't speak outside of their questioning segment.

He's got a crazy tan AND he's ex partners (and possibly still behind-the-scenes allies) with a Russian!

So I kind of love this.

HARD FUCKING PASS.

Did they even consider that if the show is a hit and it runs for as long as TBBT has that they'll have to deal with the fact that the kid probably isn't going to grow up to look like Jim Parsons?

The episode that aired tonight? Because I really enjoyed that. So count me in.

Blackish remains my favorite network sitcom, to the point that I really don't mind the idea of Zoey getting a spinoff, because I trust the people in charge to come up with enough good material to support it, even if I think the simultaneously grounded-but-absurd family dynamic is largely why Blackish works as well as

I'm a big fan of the syndicated reruns of Modern Family, and hadn't seen many of the more recent episodes, simply due to my work schedule. But now that I have more Wednesdays free, I gave this one a shot, and I was actually in slack-jawed awe at how awful this episode was. I haven't seen the entire season, so perhaps

Exactly. I mean, this is the network that has given The Middle nine seasons, and it's nowhere near as reliable in ratings or awards as Modern Family (not making a judgment on the quality of The Middle, only noting that ABC tends to give its tenured comedies a bit more leeway to end whenever they don't feel like doing

I always told myself that if I ever played, I would throw the family reward and just pray someone brought me along. But after that long without love, and with the high-stress/low-sustenance environment of the game, I would probably kick someone down a flight of stairs if it guaranteed me family time, even knowing that

Also, a Not-So-Bold Prediction: I think the outcome of the family reward challenge will dictate who gets voted out next, on the principle that "So-and-so gave up his/her reward! We can't let someone with that sort of jury equity make it to the end at a one million dollar valuation! So for that reason, I'm out."

On the one hand, I understand why Andrea made this move, since Zeke was gunning for her. But I think this move was bad for a variety of reasons.

I wish the edit had at least given some indication of why Tai was a target. Do they believe he has an idol? I mean, if they don't, they really should.
