3. The biggest immersion-breaker of all: there's never any naming overlap. Is Rick really the only Rick these people are ever going to come across?

I'd enjoy Negan a lot more if he just went full Deadpool and broke the fourth wall. Hell, he already toys around with people like a reality TV show host who makes a game out of taking forever to read the results.

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would, owing to what felt like a much more human characterization for the newcomers. For instance, with groups like The Saviors and The Kingdom, it feels like they're toying with breaking the fourth wall, as if these people know they're on a TV show, and want to be the next big

Alanna Masterson is an absolute smokeshow. I get that Lauren Cohan is the de facto hottie of TWD for a lot of people, but I'm Team Tara, all the way.

Ahhh, good point. Here's an upvote for changing my mind.

It was especially devastating because Hannah probably wasn't someone worth saving in the first place. She's so neurotic and wishy-washy that I can't imagine it really would have benefited Jessica's game to save her.

The preview makes it look as though he might possibly use the advantage to help out someone else, which is more or less the same thing as stealing someone's reward anyhow, unless the clip of him hugging his brother (or whoever that dude was) was from the initial greeting before the challenge.

Needlessly Long-Winded Thoughts On A Really Good-Ass Two Hours of Television

In theory, the reason they don't run away is because Negan is holding Daryl as collateral. But you'd think there would have to be some people in Alexandra who don't give a southern-fried shit about Daryl, and would rather just strike out on their own.

And how!

There was a fake spoiler circulating online last week that Enid was going to be raped in this episode, and it caused a massive uproar. That so many people believed the spoiler says a lot about the damage TWD has taken from wallowing in the depths of human misery. But then, I'm not sure what this show would even look

QUARREL

I mean, Trevor Phillips is basically a drug-using, redneck Negan.

But there’s still a weird hypocrisy going on, in that we’re clearly supposed to despise Gregory for willingly going down on one knee in front of the Saviors—the look of contempt on Jesus’s face is hard to ignore. But why?

*Ken will remember that.*

That would have been an extraordinary move.

Fascinating post! Thank you for sharing.

He couldve said that yes he had an advantage but it was a sucky advantage and he wouldnt dare use that coz it'll probably cost him the win.

The only way I could see him stealing a loved ones visit is if that reward is paired with an advantage in the game. Like, "Hey, you and your loved ones will get to enjoy a cookout and cocktails. And there will be an advantage hidden at the cookout!"

Maybe he wanted to work with Taylor and knew the only way to do that was to vote Jay and stack the numbers against him? Or maybe he just wanted to flush the idol. But then, that makes no sense either, since he could stand to benefit by that idol. I have no idea what Will's up to. It's both exciting and frustrating,
