The Hawk People: "Actually, we're not coming, Rip."

Every single week is a Sisyphean struggle to give half a shit about anything going on the flashbacks.

I could imagine some Millennials having grown up watching Survivor, which could shape their approach to the game if they first became hooked as a kid, rather than becoming hooked as an adult. Of course, I'm not sure how, exactly. But I'd like to think there's at least some sort of game consideration to this theme,

There are even some non-pretty types who get on the show who I can't stand because I feel like they're there to make fame happen. Frickin' Jean-Robert, man.

Thank you! Man, I remember really hating that season. Time for a rewatch this summer, I guess. See if my opinion changes. Sometimes it does. Thailand is actually far worse than I remembered.

"Probst hosting live in New York? What could Kaoh Rong?"

You know, if they're going to do this theme, they really should go all in and force everyone to dress like their generation and only speak in the lingo of their times.

Really? Hot damn. Maybe Russell is actually growing.

Julia was my favorite speech. Hot damn, do I want to see her play again. Like Parvati, I think she's the type of player whose potential won't truly be realized until another playthrough.

That was a cringe moment for Neal. I could get being that mad if being voted off the jury meant he had to forfeit his jury money, but still. I mean, yes, I get how prestigious it is to a Survivor fan to make it to the jury, and how it's a goal some people actually aim to achieve, at least as much as winning. And yes,

I feel as though, more than most seasons, this was one where a lot was left out of the edit. On Twitter after his med-evac, Neal ranted about how he wouldn't give Aubry his idol because she was a backstabber who wanted him gone or something. But we never even get a hint of that in the edit. It really wouldn't surprise

Eh, Russell would have needed an advantage that allowed him to vote out half the jury.

Question: If Joe is not medically evacuated, how does this play out?

I was more disappointed. I liked Neal, and I get his experience has been a lousy one, complete with getting fucked over by things beyond his control. But I would have been embarrassed by that outburst if I were Neal.

Yeah, I'm hoping it'll only be annoying for three weeks, or however long it takes for the first tribe swap.

They really should have balanced it out by having a third generation in there. The Millennials get shit on by the Gen Xers, the Gen Xers get shit on by Baby Boomers, and Baby Boomers snap at each other.

Yeah, Fabio was pretty terrible, but his gimmick kept him from being completely forgettable.

I mean, I've repeatedly said all over this threat that Michele deserved her win, and if you get to the end and get the votes, then you played the superior game. Sure, I liked Aubry better, and no, I didn't think Michele's necessarily this great winner. But if she got the votes, she deserved to win.

Someone who was recruited for the cast rather than someone who specifically auditioned for the show.

I really don't mind the Michele win, despite some of my comments down below. I guess I just have a problem with how the season was edited. I'm not saying they should have spoiled everything with an overt winner's edit, but I feel if this was going to be the result, they really ought to have done a better job showing
