If that was the plan, that would have been really cool to see in the edit, although they might not have had the time to tell that story. Hopefully, the deleted scenes on the Survivor YouTube channel shed some light.

That was the big question of the episode for me, whether Tai's Freudian slip was calculated. I'm leaning heavily towards "no," since he basically pulled a Keith by revealing a major bit of intel, and then adopting an "uh oh" face immediately after.
If loving that blindside is Kaoh Rong, I don't want to be Kaoh Right.
For a show that isn't even in any danger of being canceled! Seriously, this is the cheapest, most embarrassing ratings ploy in Lord only knows how long.
And we won't find out who died until the last ten minutes, after spending the better part of an hour watching Rick and Carl on a fetch quest that somehow skirts the subject of who was killed.
AMC = A Maddening Cliffhanger
My issue with the Carol storyline is her entire premise behind leaving Alexandria. It's one thing when you want to separate yourself from loved ones so you never have to kill to protect them. But just last week she murdered a shitload of Saviors. Who was she protecting then?
There's literally nothing they can do in the season premiere, in my eyes, that will have justified doing the finale ending this way.
Either answer doesn't inspire much hope for Season 7.
Cliffhangers can be effective if they're well-done, but this one just wasn't. And when you factor in that the impact is going to be considerably hurt by the fact that we'll know who died as soon as set reports leak (or whenever the San Diego Comic Con trailer debuts), then it makes even less sense to have done it this…

Yeah, I'm kind of wondering why this season has been getting a bad rap from people. Maybe my low expectations going in are part of why I'm digging it so much, but I think this is a genuinely good season so far. It's no Second Chance, but how many seasons have ever even come close to that before?
I wonder if Neal's situation will cause future castaways to hide their ailments from Jeff and the medical team. I worry that someone will refuse to disclose a potentially serious infection to avoid being pulled from the game.
Scot weighing his options between good and evil like…
I knew about the French Survivor incident, but didn't realize this island was the same place.
Scot and Jason telling Nick about any of the idols was so boneheaded that it made me a Nick fan. In fact, Nick has really stepped up the past two weeks, to where I might actually find myself enjoying him unironically. I mean, he's not wrong about Jason and Scot being overconfident bullies, and it's smart to ally with…
You know, Cydney really is terrific at stirring the pot without drawing attention to herself. She blew up Alecia's spot about the hidden immunity idol, then hung back and let Alecia self-implode on that final reward challenge before her ouster, and now she reveals to Jason that Neal has an idol all from observing his…
Hmmm…I suppose it does.
I feel like there's a lot we didn't see. I had no idea at the start of the episode why Scot was so mad at Joe, and why Joe felt he'd blown everything. I feel like there was way more going on there than they showed.
The more I think about it, the idols should be smaller, so you can pass them to another person with a kiss. That would have been the way to go.
