I'm Puerto Rican, and can verify that other Puerto Ricans say "Downtown."

Part of what interested me in Carson and Hughes getting married was the thrill of seeing their interactions as a married couple, since they were so humorous in their working relationship. I figured their bickering would be amusing.
I know way too many people who still say "Downtown".
This week in "What's Going On Downstairs?"
The ads for The Choice seriously make it seem like No Means Yes: The Motion Picture.
I think part of it is that this was tightly scheduled in order to finish before the local news. So having to pause for laughs from the audience would have added minutes to the runtime overall. So I would imagine that's why the audience was basically directed to hold their applause/reactions until the end of each…
So…someone totally died while in custody at Barry's private Gitmo.
You'd think Barry would realize from all the times Joe, Iris, Cisco, Caitlin, Patty and basically everyone else he's ever loved have been in danger, that keeping your identity a secret doesn't inherently protect your loved ones. Especially not if they're going to be around you all the time anyway.
I think it's that he feels keeping his identity a secret gives him power in a world in which his sense of agency is probably getting pretty warped. He can't stop Zoom, he can't shut the breaches. All he can really do is beat up the low-level mooks of the week, and lie to people he loves about who he is out of same…
I kind of loved "Finally!" simply for answering the question, "What would 'Summer Lovin' be like if nobody wanted any of the details of the hookup?"
"And soon your castle and your ass'll be mine" is an amazing rhyme.
I find it somewhat strange that Sybil comes up more frequently than Matthew, since he's more relevant to some of the things going on than she was. I mean, half the discussion of investiture and estate management is the result of Matthew not being there.
Seriously. The only possible explanation I can think of is that we're somehow not supposed to like Daisy. It even feels like Sophie McShera is fine-tuning Daisy's voice to be even whinier and pitchier than usual. It's like a different sound and cadence, and feels designed to be singularly infuriating and obnoxious.
I really hope Anna and Bates get a happy ending, because those two might as well have "Everlast" tattooed on their foreheads for how they've been punching bags for basically all six seasons, save for a hope spot or two.
One of the great things about this is that, unlike just about anyone else who's died on this show (even Matthew), Sybil's specter still hangs over this series, and not just in that beautifully sad theme that plays any time Branson has a reminiscence.
If he had said "Carson is a good man", I would have agreed. Because he is a good man. Just not a particularly warm one. Then again, he's prone to the sort of situational kindness of an uncle who's not particularly great, but who at least didn't molest you. So I guess the description somewhat fits.
I don't know how Julian Fellowes thinks anyone could possibly give a roaring shit about this hospital storyline. For this being the final season, some of these stories lack any sense of urgency.
I'm right there with you. But I just feel as though anyone who believes the outcome could be anything other than Reigns winning or HHH winning is just psyching themselves up for disappointment.
…..I understood maybe four of those words.
It's Patsy!
