When I was in 6th grade, our teacher went on maternity leave midyear and the sub was a young guy fresh out of college, early 20s, handsome, so much cooler than the other teachers. We girls all had crushes on him. But I know I would have been horrified to learn that he had kissed any of us, let alone done that naked

At the time, though, she would have had two even younger daughters who were not sent to live with Grandma, so in retrospect there was something different about her relationship with Anna (and apparently the boyfriend.)

Funny, I feel like mine is defending Chris Martin. I fell for him when he had a geeky interview on "60 Minutes" where he explained how he paints his piano solid white before he starts writing for a new album, and then covers it with notes and doodles and scraps of songs as he writes. But I also like Coldplay's music,

I am pretty sure that would have to be Chrises' babies. You'd still need to make Chris plural as well as possessive.

He is amazing in the role, btw.

But of course it did matter - the story wouldn't have been in the gossip rags or here if it were just another nobody. The fact that it turns out it was just another nobody, pretending to be Weiland? Priceless. http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/…

Oooh, what name do I get for pointing out this has nothing to do with grammar, but merely spelling?

Have you read Portia's book about her eating disorder and recovery? I actually am less saddened by the rumors of their marriage break-up than by the thought that Portia may have been back in rehab.

So Perez doesn't sell shoes? What does it say that I was willing to accept that as a natural step along the famewhore route, right after your own designer fragrance? I mean, the Kardashian brother designs socks.

At one point, LeAnne and Eddie were asked if it was "awkward" that she has a job and stays at home.

More than one commenter has posted this link using almost the same words of introduction - is it me, or does it start to read like one of those spambot posts? It's not the first story where I've seen it in the comments, either.

Oh please let the MTV call be a hoax. Anyone want to confess?

I remember after one of the first seasons, reading an interview with someone who said exactly that - the camp latrine did not get much of a workout. But whenever I see them win food rewards - greasy pizza! beer! bbq! - all I can think about is how that must mess with a digestive system that's had only rice and coconut

To be fair, Will or Jada (or both) could be hiding under that red coat/cape thing.

Now I want to watch the Veronica Mars movie again.

Completely agree! I've even used the "period" line myself. Although, I've never been able to find a good replacement word to go with "guys." Sure, you have girls/boys, women/men, but there isn't a casual way to refer to adult women in quite the same way.

Curious about the thought behind this - it's not illegal to pay a person for using their body to perform manual labor for you. Why would it be different to use another body part to do something else you need but can't do yourself?

True. But I was once scammed by someone on AuctionWeb (the Ebay precursor) for a measly $50. But I sent her that $50 with the trust that she would send me the vintage collectible she'd advertised. It would have taken a lot more trust for me to have sent her $50 to, say, help her pay her rent or

I don't believe you.
