Speak for yourselves. This show is the definition of a guilty pleasure.

I just finished watching season 4 of Arrested Development and now they're announcing a fifth season.

I actually thought Hamlin laying it on a bit too thick was in keeping with his character. He's not the monster we all thought he was at the beginning of the season, but he's still a smarmy bastard.

That's true, though in the universe of the show, Saul and associate only seem to rip off people who are so eager to rip off others that their greed and arrogance blinds them.

Lube: it shouldn't have to end in tears

It also rhymes with one of the SP's favorite ways of describing their critics.

Bill Willingham (author of Fables) left a long comment here (http://www.jasonsanford.com… pointing out that the Hugos were already vulnerable to gaming. The Sad Puppies losers were just more open, organized, and loathsome about doing it.

GODDAMNIT WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO EXCHANGE MY GOODS OR SERVICES FOR MONEY

Henry VIII certainly was a ginger according to contemporary descriptions of him. Remember that both his daughters had red hair.

The lighting was very thoughtfully designed. It helped produce the sober, intimate tone of the series that the review describes.

If you already know the stories of the main players, then it's not like the show will spoil the book for you. I read both books and they're a different experience due to being a different medium. You are more directly in Cromwell's head in the books, while the show is necessarily less intimate due to the visual

Dylan is white.

Oops. Forgot IOKIYAR.

Waiting for conservatives to decry this censorship since being able to give a commencement speech despite pissing off some people is a sacred American right.

I really don't understand why people keep calling Melissa a bitch. She's only mean to Phil when he's being a manipulative jerk. She's actually quite kind to him when he's truthful with her, though she is direct and honest and doesn't coddle him. She's also always been nice to Carol and Todd, who have always treated

Exactly this. She's been surprisingly patient with him overall. When he's genuine with her, she's kind to him. When he's a manipulative jerk, she's cold to him. That's not rude or bitchy at all.

That's sort of what I was imagining the show would be like. Except it would be filled out with flashbacks to Phil's life before the epidemic that wiped out all life on earth. The flashbacks would give us insight into what Phil is like, establish his struggles connecting with people, his assholishness, etc. and connect

It's annoying how quickly the show has gone to the love triangle (quadrangle?) sitcom trope. I'm also not as interested in seeing an average white guy struggling with being an asshole. That story has been become very well worn by now.

Exactly! And showing episodes back to back so often is not helping.

OK, I'm never going to be able to read that part about Theon meeting his sister for the first time without thinking of the McPoyles noisily macking on each other. Thank you!
