@avclub-40e90db13ab31c7efd64228034182c2e:disqus Most people seem to be looking forward to Jesse's inevitable final stand-off with Walt, but I'm more interested in seeing the scenario you describe: Hank figuring out what Walt's been doing, Walt not realizing at first that he's been caught, a tense cat-and-mouse

Given that Skyler is in on this lie, I doubt it will lead to anything.

When Walt is found out, Hank is going down too. It looks too suspicious: brother-in-law was a major meth cook and Hank and Marie benefited from the operation. The former ASAC got shitcanned for not figuring out what was going on with Gus. Compared to that, Hank is in a much worse situation.

@SteelSky:disqus I can't like this comment enough.

Yeah, well Skyler has 99 problems and they're ALL named 'Walt'.

@avclub-d8c4b9a46ef46a0b3dae8a1e1279a8d8:disqus Agreed. Successful con artists have stated that a lie is most convincing if you mix it with truth and if a part of you *believes* the lie is truth.

@avclub-e71c1ca6f3a1da729ae7b32956813ffb:disqus  Besides the reasons everyone else in this thread have mentioned, wouldn't a murder be equally problematic in terms of being a loose end? They have to do something about the body. It's a remote area, but it's still broad daylight.

Doesn't matter. Why would Hank or Marie look up or call Sky's shrink? That's beyond nosy.

@EvelKareebel:disqus  Another late reply. The Dunk and Egg stories are entertaining, but a lot lighter than the novels. More comedic in tone, i guess. They are set decades before the current story, so they're not spoilery at all. They do give some useful background info/context on 'current' events, particularly since

@olivececile:disqus This is a very late reply, but (no spoilers, I promise): There never was anything like the 'Great Council' you describe. Westeros (minus the lands beyond the Wall) is referred to as The Seven Kingdoms because, well, it's made up of what were once separate realms that were, more or less, constantly
