I have a feeling they wanted to add another character that would be vulnerable/a convenient plot device now that Cordy is a tougher, more mature character. They sort of did the same thing on Buffy by adding Tara.

Good. I'm glad her character is going somewhere interesting. I'm not enchanted by the mumbly, manic pixie dream genius girl thing (though I agree that Acker is as cute as a button).
Agreed. Drusilla was more campy on BtVS, which is sort of a reflection of that show. But the character becomes more serious, more adult and far scarier in ATS. The scene of her and Darla in the boutique with the shop assistant is just much darker than almost anything BtVS has done vis-a-vis vampires.
Seriously? I'm watching Angel for the first time and am about halfway through S.3. I find Fred to be an incredibly irritating character. "Fredless" made me want to tear my damned eyebrows off.
It was a pointless departure. The Queller was still just another demon that they had to kill. It would have been a more interesting twist if it were part of an intelligent alien race or were not just another mindless being of pure malice.
I stopped reading the TWOP recaps and boards after Buffy's fourth season. Check out the episode grades. They arbitrarily decided that S.3 was the pinnacle of the show and everything thereafter was crap or mediocre at best. Ridiculous. I love the third season as much as anyone, but that wretched website perpetuated a…
Los Hobos, of course.
Not to mention the fact that the cheapest Netflix plan is only $8.99/month, which gives you 1 DVD at a time and unlimited streaming content. There's enough stuff there to keep you occupied until the DVD of your favorite series is available (if you don't mind being behind everyone else). Even then, there's always…
I've always thought of Korean films as being a little more true to everyday experience than typical western films. Episodes in your life marked primarily by fear, depression, self-destruction, happiness or whatever tend to be crossed with other things too. Life isn't as tidy as an American genre film. Of course,…
+1 for Tobias. There are trolls bitching about the same thing in every damned NCC post and it's beyond tiresome.
Christina Hendricks is a natural blonde. She dyes her hair.
Doc, I look forward to the infusion of fresh blood (no pun intended). The show has been kind of spinning its wheels in terms of many of the secondary characters, mostly because the actors suck or don't have the right chemistry (Angel & LaGuerta) and the more compelling characters end up being killed off relatively…
I would if he'd bathe everyday.
John Mayer's really let himself go. I don't even know what's going on with his lower half in this picture:
Yeah, the story is really depressing (the guy was also abusive to his girlfriend, I believe). But it was amusing for insane number of comments it generated—lots of geeky flaming over whether we should care about kitten deaths or not.
Wet dreams.
Well
This is better than killing kittens: http://kotaku.com/5553606/m…
The important question is whether there'll be extended shots of his panty-clad ass to gaze upon while mournful indie rock plays.
Marie Antoinette was not a good movie. It was a good screensaver.
Somehow we've managed to refrain from menstruating all over the threads.
