Never underestimate Kojima. That crazy man can do all kinds of stupid.

“Even Metal Gear Rising, a non-canonical spin-off itself, features an evil politician who literally says, “Make America great again,” years before a real-life evil man made it his catchphrase”
And I was referencing the language “fucking white people” itself
Lol, all racists aren’t Republicans man. They may lean that way but there are plenty of well hidden and not so well hidden racists within the Dems, Libertarians, Greens, whoever.
Nothing to get over. But thanks for playing...and missing the irony.
Those are good points. I love Tom Petty, no he wasn’t a great singer. But he did the job, it was part of the greater things he brought. Dylan is a horrible, horrible singer. He fights your ears on purpose to defy you. I give Billy Corgan slack because I’m about his age and I admire that he did fantastic cool…
lol mad
I am a bit embarrassed to have to spell this out so directly but maintaining separation between sales and editorial is a foundational tenet of journalistic ethics.
Yes, I do know that. What I’m wondering is why it’s relevant to the conversation, since pundits often criticize private universities or college students as a collective.
You can’t truly be naive enough at this point to believe that people haven’t long since learned to see through the rhetorical “both sides are bad” smokescreen used as a pathetic attempt to change the subject from accurate criticisms of Republicans, can you?
Or, and I know this is wild, don’t let sponsors dictate your writing. I’m sure Amazon isn’t happy with a lot of the coverage that happens on GMG considering they advertise here, but thankfully sales and editorial here are separate like they should be.
No, it doesn’t - but it’s hard to let “She’s crazy” pass without comment when that common gaslighting remark is uttered in defense of someone accused of gaslighting someone.
(You think my comment was a ‘bit’ pedantic? Thanks for the feedback - but only a ‘bit’? Clearly I am slipping, I’ll have to step up my game)
‘crazy’ is used to describe too wide of a range of behaviors to have any meaningful use in a conversation like this.
“crazy” is a subjective non-objective, non-medical term. Some men would say all women are ‘crazy’.
A lot of people have mental health issues that cause them to act illogically or irrationally, but saying someone is ‘crazy’ isn’t a meaningful statement. It’s not meaningful because “crazy” isn’t a medical diagnosis or medical condition or any kind of standard, it’s just a common perjorative slang that is entirely…
theres not as vas a deferens as they are implying, methinks.
You’re right, systemic racism is some lame shit.
The A.V. Club
It had gotten far to overgrown and incestuous. Plus a fair bit of it was just schlocky and bad. It needed to be clear cut.
Whatever happened to predictability.
The milkman, the paperboy, evening tv?
How did I get to living here?
Somebody tell me please!
This old world’s confusing me.
With clouds as mean as you’ve ever seen
Ain’t a bird who knows your tune.
Then a little voice inside you Whispers,
Kid don’t sell your dreams, so soon
