This is exactly why I don't play League anymore. Many of my friends play it, and I feel left out sometimes because I don't play, but I played that game for over a year off and on (most of it was with bots to practice) and hated the majority of the matches I played. I couldn't stand the constant bitching about not…
I think this is just one side of the larger issue that is a certain, seemingly large, segment of the gaming population that refuses to coexist peacefully with other gamers that exhibit a different level of seriousness or competency than their own.
Re: Dota 2 heroes, tell them to shut it. Every hero can be played at a "pro" level, provided you have a solid team composition (i.e., don't pick a carry when the team already has 2 or 3). Play smart, and enjoy the game, even if it sucks when you're starting a brand new hero and royally screw up. That's how you learn,…
I've lost count of the number of times I've been playing Assassin's Creed or GTAO and I hear a mother yelling at her pre-adolescent son through his mic. My thought is always "Stop yelling at your goddamn kid and just turn his Xbox off. He shouldn't even be playing this game in the first place."
^ Exactly.
When I played Dota 2 for a while, my groupmates would just bitch and moan any time I picked a hero that I thought was fun, and complained that "wow he's not even used in tournaments he sucks.".
Oh God, that!
I like do thing. It much cool. Such happy.
Meta-Gaming! The bane of my Multiplayer experiences. Whether it be Age of Empires II (loosely HD), Dota 2, or Guns of Icarus, everyone seems to be so bound to the meta, that you can't do anything fun or unique without being criticised, mocked or abandoned by teammates.
Ok chumps, lets do thing. LEEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOYYY JEEEEEENNKIIIIIINSSSSS!!
10 year olds with a mic.
OWENNNN! COOOOME ONNNNNN! As a Twitter Bro, I expect better.
Leaving the mike on all the time and letting the mike close enough to your mouth that you're constantly breathing into it. You people know who you are!
Worst gaming behaviour: Being a child.
The N-word? With 2 G's? I feel you bro I get called a Nagger all the time it's insane!
I deliberately sniped a teammate off a ladder in SOCOM 4: US Navy Seals. It was such a cool shot, I couldn't not take it and I figured, eh, he's probably better off respawning anyway.
Whining when you get killed in a pvp style game.
Hands down, the biggest annoyance is people who leave because they're losing in a fighting game. You're just starting to get into it when BANG they're gone.
I'm going to hell for this joke but: Dat magnifying glass in chrome's icon :D
