We need another “Unsafe at Any Speed” book, except this time aimed at the ginormous trucks and SUVs that the average person isn’t skilled enough to safely drive.

I think they’re referring to midsize trucks.

Regarding political stickers and “trump trucks:”

Agreed but can you imagine the headlines? “THE RADICAL WOKE LEFTISTS ARE COMING FOR YOUR TRUCKS!” Goddamn it... now I did it. This comment will probably be picked up and repeated on Fox before lunchtime.

They are a danger to themselves. Height less lateral stability (poor emergency control) and also means easier to roll over and roll over they do in large numbers where I live.

The extreme weight makes today’s trucks lethal to the cars, bicyclists and pedestrians they are plowing over in ever increasing quantities. Despite that, I agree completely the height is probably the biggest threat to everyone else’s safety because no one can see around the damn things. Worse they can’t see you

Nah, people like that usually aren’t smart or rich enough to game the tax code for a free personal vehicle on top. This guy drives an early 2000s ram with cat delete and a few mismatched body panels. And his wife, if he has one, drives a reasonably new Kia on a front wheel doughnut.

So you are saying high truck beds don’t matter because you just use a trailer to haul stuffs with. In that case what even is the point of a pick up truck?

I’m partial to this variation myself

i never understood why you americans never adopted something like this for commercial use:

The new Rampage is supposed to be 198" L, 72" W, 70" H.

Only 2 stickers? That California patsy probably doesn't even have a gun. Here in Colorado, you need at least 5 stickers before anyone will take you seriously. The 3%er, ARMED FORCES VETERAN, the Colorado flag AR 15, and something about FJB/Brandon. Then you have to add some flag stuff to fill any empty space left.

Not pedantic at all. I’m well aware of the relationship between later B-Series and Rangers, which is neat for Ranger fans but maybe less so for B2k fans like me. To this day, I trawl CL and FB Marketplace for a late 80s Mazda B2000 single cab with manual transmission and pinstripe graphics. Happy hunting.

Yeah but the “smaller” trucks aren’t really smaller they are darn near the same size as a full sized truck from the 90's

Snek is my favorite.

The best way to do that is to lift the truck up even further with aftermarket parts, so your headlight beams are level with the windshield of the average crossover. Since the front and rear windshields are transparent, the light will shine through them and you’ll be able to see further ahead than if your lights were

But.. I need to be able to see over traffic. If I cant, i don’t feel like I am in control of the road. And If i dont have the biggest possible truck how will anyone possibly respect me as a person?

I’m pretty sure buildings can’t be as tall as they want, so how come vehicles can be?

Do you mean following people really close or taking food to a sportsball game? Or both!
