I want them to make a soft top RAV4 Prime. I would buy it. Dunno if it would sell more broadly, but I can’t be the only one.

I have never prioritized beauty in a car. My Explorer looked good in green with the grey lower, but it wasn’t beautiful. My Civic looked nice with blue so dark it looked black, but was a typical Civic.

Yeah. If I’m the guy’s lawyer, I sue the country club based on its quite unambiguous contest (make shot win truck) and let the country club deal with the dealer.

Very much same. I initially read “You Can Make This JDM Nissan Horny in Your Home.” For a second, I thought they found an old rejected Torch article and ran it.

The Subaru Baja and the Ford Explorer Sport Trac should have survived. I know the Baja got a lot of hate at the time, so I get why it was dropped, but I think both utes were unjustly dropped. They’d both be major sellers now.

The “fancy” model of the crown has a whole bunch of black bits as a kind of two-tone. The taillights and bumper are in a black zone. Personally, I prefer the monocolor appearance.

Not even a hatchback. That sloped back isn’t even a hatch. It has a trunk. This is just a sedan with a little higher ride height.

Trunk, disappointingly.

Most of them already do this, at least around here. I virtually never see a listing from a dealer page, but I see a ton of dealer listings from personal profiles.

A lot of companies use bonuses that are expected, but might be variable based on company and/or personal performance. Usually, those bonuses have a base amount, then modifiers. So it might not look quite like an expected fixed bonus as part of salary or an unexpected bonus.

I mean, he might have been the Tom McParland car-buying advice algorithm. If Google Assistant can call and make reservations, what else can computers do?

I missed this when it came out, but I really enjoyed this article and the creative problem solving. I really hoped that you were going to have your bike breakdown near a convention and require assistance from a group of friendly furries, but this was fun, too.

What? People are clamoring for PHEVs. You won’t see a RAV4 Prime on the lots. Same with the PHEV Tucson and Sportage. It’s exactly because of how compelling it is to have the combination of electric for commutes and gas for longer trips.

Wow, that does seem pretty bad. Here in Idaho, they offer $100 rebate on a smart thermostat without giving them any access at all. Sucks that they give you less and require more in NC.

Most are. If you have a thermostat, you should be able to replace it with one of these. It basically controls in the same way that a non-smart thermostat does. The smart thermostat does all of the processing and programming on its end.

I mean, it’s $6k over the loaded 300S. Hard to argue with that for a limited edition scat pack 300C. I am sorely tempted.

Because the way that it affects Korean companies might be a violation of our free trade agreement, not because the US feels particular sympathy for Hyundai. Basically, by lowering the effective price of US-made vehicles, we have essentially created a shadow tariff on foreign vehicles we would otherwise not charge

Tesla does not give ample warning for the occupant to take over driving duties, which is the main distinction. That is the real struggle in getting to Level 3 on a broad scale: if you don’t have to supervise, getting you to take over needs to be smooth and give plenty of warning.

Ooh, I envy you for getting to see this tour. John Darnielle made a stop here to talk about his latest novel, and he played a couple songs, but we never get an actual Mountain Goats show here in Boise. I almost drove down to Salt Lake, but it just didn’t work out.

I love the boombox era, I love the trajectory from there, and I still love the current music. John Darnielle is my absolute favorite songwriter.
