That 6k upcharge is less than the tax credit that is going away, so this was a great deal for those who wanted it. I wonder what Kia will do once the US assembly requirement starts.

Thank you. You’re doing the important work.

Only temporarily. They will be too expensive when the price limits are imposed at the beginning of the year.

To be fair, this is Jalopnik, where we don’t expect anyone to have a vehicle made in the last 20 years. Or working correctly.

They’ll become relevant again as long as manufacturers and dealers go back to the same model. I suspect there will be a push to have smaller lots and more customer orders, though I don’t know how many dealers will move toward that very quickly. If you know you can make good money with less overhead, why maintain the

I think a part of what worked in your favor here was that you ordered. The best leverage we have in this environment is knowing what helps us and what helps them. If orders come in above and beyond their regular allocations, they have every reason to price them low enough to encourage people to order. You are

I don’t know if this is true across the board, but some dealers seem to be more willing to make a deal on a special order these days. I guess the orders may not count against allocation for some brands, so orders mean additional vehicles coming through.

And the GC fans are definitely vocal. Which I will likely never fully understand. It was a good Nintendo system, perhaps underrated in its time, but it wasn’t anything particularly amazing.

But Double Dash is hard to call overrated. It wasn’t a strong game, but it also isn’t one that has the big following. Sure, there are people that wish certain parts of it would make it into another MK game, but most of those people are saying they want features put into a better game, not that DD was good.

If there were a crime, maybe. But this is a contract dispute. And a particularly stupid one. Racop didn’t take the money and run, he delayed work over late/missed payment. Without seeing the contract, I don’t know what he could have done, but he might have even been more generous than the contract offered.

Well, there is the side that isn’t paying the contractually required payments and the side that claims to have reached out before bumping that contract to the back of the line.

an abuse of police power

I’m not so sure it is that it is a wooden flatbed that is weird. It’s that the flatbed is tiny and that the gas cap is just hanging up where it would be with a regular bed. Usually, people want some width out of a flatbed. Most I have seen end up extending past the bumper, too. And people usually ensure that they

The 2.0 Ecoboost can tow 4000 with the towing package upgrade. This package might similarly offer that upgrade at an additional cost.

I have my PHEV, but that hasn’t been enough to educate them. They get a lot of disinformation and I don’t see them very often.

Always have credit union financing ready, but keep your options open. This was shitty for people (as Hyundai often is), but you can occasionally get 0% interest or the like through some manufacturers. Not right now, of course, but occasionally.

And they are still pulling that crap with electric vehicles. And if the math still doesn’t work out for them with the cheats already in place, they’ll factor in a battery replacement or two. They also love to throw that into cost of ownership, as well.

Oh, absolutely there are Gen X and Millennial folks who are problems. But I don’t think they are the primary driving force. Hell, they probably aren’t even their own primary driving force in many cases. A lot of the political ones recognize Boomer voters are the consistent votes. The consistent campaign contributions.

Hey, physics is just applied math.

Boomers are definitely the demographic I see spreading this kind of misinformation and fighting against things like electric vehicles. And they still hold a disproportionate percentage of the wealth and political power in this country.
