I understand what you are saying about the bill being dead, but I think that they will take parts of it and craft a different bill. If BBB itself passes, you are right that the union bonus will likely stay, since it isn’t the biggest fight.

But solving logistical issues to get food where it is needed doesn’t drive equipment sales. Robot tractors are gonna make a few people richer than they were. Better access would just get more people fed.
Could be a really good program, but it seems light on details thus far. And I would be curious how it would affect the price of the used/refurbished car. Is it going to push lessees who look at these refurbs to consider a brand new one instead? Or will it push those considering new into the refurbs?
I expect they may get pieces of it out, and no one has really voiced reservations about the removal of PHEVs from the tax credits. I would guess we might get the current tax credit applied to all EVs across the board for a couple years and phased out altogether, but the union bonus and possibly US-made bonus will…
I honestly thought these already existed. They’ve been using GPS-aided equipment to make precise passes for years now, so this was pretty much certain to happen.
Wait. There are/were GMC Envoy enthusiasts? I suppose there are enthusiasts for nearly anything.
I’m sure some deliberately shunned the vaccine, while some deaths were likely pre-vaccine. Sadly, the misinformation these people are being fed is deadly. While they are making poor choices, I am far more angry with folks like Joe Rogan telling them that ivermectin and vitamins are the cure (never you mind the…
next time you hear some Corvette snobs [...] feel free to get all up within their shit and bellow
These numbers are not surprising. I’ve definitely known people who wouldn’t even take 4WD vehicles places they KNEW I had driven FWD with lower clearance. People spend too much for capabilities, then are afraid to mess up their expensive vehicle by using them.
Yeah, that review certainly helps the hype. I also think the overall presentation is good, which really drives this.
It sounds like the swap was from his most recently stolen vehicle into a stashed vehicle that had been previously stolen. When they ran the plates, it showed up as having been reported stolen, which seems unlikely if it had just been stolen.
If you go back two articles to the original reporting, prosecutors are also leaning on his relationship with the victim, weapons found in both vehicles (presumably with his prints on them), and a history of violent crime.
I think the assumption is that the dude just went to another stolen vehicle he had stashed, and he forgot that he was switching into the one with the dead guy.
As a stolen vehicle, it would definitely be held for evidence.
$25k with three days to go on this van with Carfax-reported moderate damage, underbody rust, and some damaged outer body pinch welds.
Sadly, I’ve been looking for one in recent times, and even ones with 300,000 miles and rust are more expensive than you’d expect. Unsurprisingly this one is even more expensive
It’s not outrage. It’s sheer confusion as to how this can make any sort of sense, financially or otherwise.
I’m just imagining murderers setting up bait cars to pin their crimes on thieves.
Just curious, are they called “Idaho stops” with cars, or just bikes? I have always heard “California stop” in Washington and Idaho for cars. Idaho does allow this for bicyclists (and has for many years), so I can see how that would bring about that terminology.
I think we are going to run into a lot of issues based on the difference between actual drivers, the law, and some ideal model of driving practices. As long as there are non-autonomous vehicles on the road, you can’t just have a network of linked vehicles coordinating all their movements, so you need to program…
