The EPA, as I suspect you know, has no international authority. Also, China is making better progress than we are, and produces carbon emissions per capita a little under half of ours, despite producing so much of the world’s goods. India produces less than a quarter of ours per capita (and about half of our total

But the system in which the EPA’s standards are changed on a whim, rather than by following scientific, environmental, or practical concerns is flawed.

A lot of people talking about the title, but a major red flag came earlier.

Also, people need to remember this video when they want to pull campers or drive RVs. If you can avoid driving in riskier weather situations, you keep yourself and your fellow drivers safer.

Leave well-rested. If it means you arrive in the evening instead of the afternoon, so be it. You’ll have a better drive and be less likely to forget things. Don’t worry about getting up early to beat the traffic if that doesn’t work for you.

I generally try to time my travel such that it is more bearable. Flying on Christmas morning is a lot less packed than Christmas Eve. Having a “Christmas” gathering in mid-January is even better.

If I were going to my parents’ house for Christmas, I’d be tempted to fly over and drive this home.

No Dice. Not at the expected price, not for $20,000. Well, it might be alright at 20k, if I can get a Bronco face put on there for a reasonable price.

I also put my foot in the brush. I think it’s probably alright, since intentionally having your foot there suggests you might have greater awareness if something did catch.

Not only are the Tesla brakes not yet available, but putting such brakes on lighter gas vehicles would still not satisfy the condition. Requiring a chute for a specific speed is not discrimination or shortsightedness.

I appreciate that Waymo has paid test drivers, but I really hope they vet them well. This will look bad if it turns out the driver was poorly vetted or poorly trained and is supposed to help train the system.

“We’re finally gonna be able to harness the power of wind to move ships across the ocean!”

Looks like I chose a good dealer. They are asking reservation holders if they are serious and ready to buy. Those that are ready will be put into a raffle for their priority spots.

I just received a text asking how serious I am, because they can bump my priority. I told the dealer I am very serious, but I am willing to wait if they want me to spend more for the privilege. We’ll see how that goes.

Just drive really slowly”

I realize tone does not translate here. Sorry if the above sounds condescending. I do not intend it as such. I fully accept that I am never prepared for summers here, so I do understand not being ready to accept the reality of the season.

$5000 to be high priority? Probably pretty reasonable to the people it’s important to. The $30,000 high priority and $20,000 to everyone else is ridiculous. If you were one of the first reservations, I see how it could be frustrating to see any pay-for-priority plans, but I don’t mind waiting for a reasonable price.

One point you have missed in your consideration: it’s entirely possible for a thief to steal your card info and give you back your actual card. You ever hand your card to a waiter? You type your card number into a website? The digitized cards have single-use tokens that actually prevent much more misuse than they open

You really shouldn’t have LSD and drive any of them. Dodging dragons only you can see is gonna get dangerous.

I’m not ready for snow cover and frozen lakes just yet!
