I grew up a Giants fan, and spent 25 years spending every Sunday planted in front of a TV watching this team if I had the chance. For the last two seasons, I’ve cumulatively watched maybe three entire NFL games because I just gave up on the league.

In his defense, he seems like a pretty decent guy. That jersey burning thing was all for charity and was a nice moment of Eagles and Giants fans getting to share a few laughs. Super fans can be annoying, but he puts in a lot of time and effort on charity related events and he has steadfastly refused to criticize…

Think about it. It’s easy. Bud light is an affordable alcoholic simple drink with a minimal flavor profile. They both essentially get across to their customers in a very similar way. If you look close, the marketing isn’t even all that different.

You know that is compleate BS, right? 50 states, some of which have multiple versions, plus places like DC, PR, VI. Plus military, passports, and other forms of ID. And the mythological ID scanners (not many businesses have those).

Salty is way off here. I had a fake ID when I was 18. It had my name on it. So showing a credit card or a library card with my name on it did not make me 21 all of a sudden.

They don’t have to serve you, and (protected classes aside) they don’t have to have a good reason. Considering the penalty for being wrong, a bartender should definitely set their Spider-Sense bar higher than the law’s. If I must err one way or the other, I’d much rather deny an of-age person than serve an underage…

Only thing you got wrong is the percentage of fans who side with ownership (it’s closer to 90%).

The owners are dickheads but it doesn’t matter. A decent half or so of fans will side with billionaires over labor every goddamn time. It doesn’t matter if they are using the “they are millionaires” argument or “I’d play the game for free” or any of the other dozens of bullshit arguments that they enjoy trotting out…
