I’d fly into Idaho, but not Boise. The only time I visited I went to Craters of the Moon and then Yellowstone (and the East Idaho State Fair but that was more of hitting Blackfoot at the right date more than a plan). If the big airport was in Idaho Falls and not Boise, then that would be a serious option for a trip

Players should not be forced to talk to a journalist that is clearly biased against them.

I dislike some, and openly hate a few people at work.  However, I still am required to interact with them.  JV is required to do it (its in the CBA and therefore IS part of his job).

No I am owning a 38 year old for thinking that somehow the Giants weren’t a better than average pick for the a kid of the late 80s picking his team (which I agree is 90% a winning team or one passed on from family).

So you want pity? In the 28 years since you hopped on a bandwagon the team has been to 3 Super Bowls, which is tied for 4th most, won 2 Super Bowls, which is also tied for 4th most, and have been watchable (arbitrarily set at 7 wins or better) in 19 of those 28 seasons,

No it would make it markedly worse. Trying to regurgitate what I learned in Bio-mechanics in college (where the professor teaching it spent his research time dropping human cadaver heads, with and without helmets, to study head impact) 25 years ago:

The Ringer is making good money by all accounts. And its because of the podcasts. There was an article from early this year which stated they made $15M in ad revenue from podcasts alone. A staff of 80 making an average of 125K (5 junior editors make $50K for each “name” makes $500K) is only $10M. Assume $2-3M in

So this is one of those moments I wish I subscribed to BaseballReference.com because their play index is perfect for this. I just did a search of players with rookie eligibility who had a WAR of 2.0 or more and less than 150 ABs. In the history of baseball that happened a total of 4 times (2.4, 2.2. and 2 at 2.0). 10

On the list probably, but not first.  If for no other reason than Jesus is a prophet in Islam, just not THE PROPHET.  So any Muslim who knows their faith will know of Jesus but not sure it goes the other way around.

Sun exposure can lead to decay of the shell (at least with hard hats), and age probably does reduce the compression coefficient and ability to go back to its original shape for the padding.

A pitcher loses eligibility with 50 innings pitched, a hitter with 130 ABs and both if they are on the MLB roster for 45 days (pre September 1st).  So its theoretically possible, but it would be that hard to do what you describe and stay under 50 innings.

Yeah.  That sentence construction would make my middle school English teacher vomit.

How is he not a rookie?  He made his MLB debut on Opening Day this year.  The only difference between him and the other guys is the Padres were willing to put their best team on the field and not try to waste a season trying to save $5M 6 seasons from now.

No one. Burger King makes the 3rd best of everything it makes. Its fries are inferior to McDonald’s/Arby’s. Its chicken is inferior to Wendy’s/Chick-Fil-A. Its new $1 taco is inferior to Jack-in-The-Box/Taco Bell. For all of the items on its menu, maybe the burger will be the 2nd best option, but I don’t personally

Back then the played each team 22 times (22 x 7 = 154). The Yanks have played 17 and will play 19 vs. the Orioles this year so yeah.

Maybe a lot don’t watch them at the screening, but a good chunk of them will see dailies or other cuts of the movie at various points (if for no other reason so they don’t sound as clueless as she does here).  Like if someone asks you about the role and you talk about your favorite scene, which you don’t know was cut

Because its a smart move. Anyone who tells you they are better off without a union are those that think they are better/more critical than their peers or delusional.

Yeah. He’s talked about being part of the WGA with others (since he joined when writing for Kimmel), has been vocal that all internships at the Ringer are paid (not a ton of money, but he could easily do unpaid in an industry that is littered with them), and other areas.

Mind you this is also the city that has a series of climate-controlled walkways connecting most of its downtown. So not sure energy efficiency and willingly being outside is a hallmark of Minneapolis city planning.

Because I value a toilet that isn’t a PVC bucket, a shower that isn’t a PVC bucket and a kitchen that isn’t a hot plate with a PVC bucket to clean stuff in.
