Definitely one of the better Jez articles I've come across. Others seem to agree. Why is it that you can't be bothered to read before shitting out a response?

So what you're saying is that Kim K did not agree to this photoshoot, and in fact she was coerced by white dudes to take photographs in this manner? She in no way was fulfilling ambition or calculating to acquire more publicity or minting herself into an icon?
Dude, you took, like, one whole class about, like, gender and stuff?! Clearly you're an expert! Please, tell us more about all you know about sexual agency and black women's bodies!
You didn't bother to read before commenting. You're a fool. I'm not going to explain to you why you're wrong, when if you simply read the article, you would know.
Okay, if you are so smart, there's plenty of room to write your scholarly rebuttal.
Their man-hormones make it difficult for them to cope with the rigors of the real world.
And they say women "can't take a joke". Clearly these insecure boys harassing her can't take a mild jape either.
I just realized that's a gratuitous quote-tweet. Ironically so the guy can take credit for a woman's joke. Here's the original:
My mom was the only woman at her level at her construction equipment seller, and she got the guys to stop putting up raunchy pictures of women (and always drawing her attention to them to try and mess with her) by calmly starting to put up raunchy pictures of men. It made them uncomfortable, what a shock! The boss…
As a woman who used to work in manufacturing and was often the *only* woman on the production floor, trust me, we care, and we call out the worst of it, but jesus fucking christ is it exhausting. Also, its not our job to teach people not to be assholes.
Did this motherfucker just 'M'lady" her for real?
But anger in men isn't an emotion. It's a justification and always righteous.
My guess is that men treated women like shit for millennia, women finally got sick of it and started fighting back, men's feewings got hurt and they lashed out, which made women fight back harder, which pissed men off more...etc etc.
Ok seriously, WHAT HAPPENED TO THESE MEN TO MAKE THEM LIKE THIS I AM LEGITIMATELY ASKING
I want it to be seductive pictures of Rihanna from the "Pour it up" video.
Here's my question; did no one at the ESA not think, "Perhaps I should tell the guy who's going to be on camera, answering questions from reporters and being transmitted all around the world as the face of our agency, that his shirt is inappropriate?"
Its not a good looking shirt and its not very appropriate for the workplace. But of course the perfect response to a mild joke is aggression. Ya know, I could have sworn that women were supposed to be the emotional gender, but apparently that's not true on the internet.
"Kill yourself" is an unreasonable, inexcusable, asshole thing to say, but it is not a "death threat."
Are these supposed to be examples of the death threat tweets? Because they're death threats in the same way that saying "go fuck yourself" is a rape threat.
