The one person Wells really needed to talk to was Joe. Who better to help him navigate the ins and outs of having a speedster child?

"So Barry tell me more about that time you let your mother die in front of you?"

I've got a better question, why did Barry let him do it? Oh right, Joe was a booze hound and Wally got wounded. I guess Mom and Dad gotta go.

Absolutly.
Yet, he just opened and passed through a portal between the two earth, which
a) didn't work out so well last time
b) everyone agreed before to never do again

Pretty sure it was a tantrum.

looks too small and not beefy enough to be under the costume. but who knows might just be a evil Barry under there.

With the suit, it looked like Barry was taking her to the prom. They sounded like teenagers too.

Yeah, the impressive first date thing was more or less out of the question some time ago:

Except that when he busted out the, "Not!" I thought, "What, did you travel back in time? Who are you, my mother in the 1990s?" It's good to have Wells back.

The fancy dinner date is a really whack trope. They keep using it to create awkward tension because two friends going to a fancy restaurant thinking they have to make small talk like a date is just awkward. It's lazy, and it's not fun.

In this timeline, Cisco creates and installs useful security measures!

The Wells-Cisco-Caitlin interactions were all awesome, love the chemistry with all of them. Loved Wells calling Caitlin "Snow" and then pausing and switching to "Caitlin" when he wanted to ask her for a favor.

On a serious note: why do shows always try to force their couples.. who have Been long term friends… into "fancy date scenarios". dude, you're best friends. Going on a fancy dinner date making small talk is RIDICULOUS

And that he didn't believe Barry when he said there were only a few minor changes. Thank you Harrison Wells for calling bullshit on Barry.

Turns out her deep dark secret isn't the return of Killer Frost, it's that she actually is just an ophthalmologist. She's just been winging it this whole time.

Show's done for if they ever write him out. That said, even with him in it tonight's episode felt like an afterschool special. It also took a hard turn into Arrow territory with all stupid, unnecessary melodrama that got me to quit watching that 2 seasons ago. I'm glad Wells is back. And I'm glad Barry and Iris…

"That's Iris's panic button."

"What's a singularity?"

Why do they insist on having Caitlin be the audience proxy (aka stupidest member of Team Flash)? At the very least have Flash say "split personality" and have Caitlin correct him with the appropriate clinical term. I swear to god, she better not ask, "What's a battle?" next season.

i'm more convinced than ever that Wells is the show's secret sauce. his ability to cut through the pretenses and fronts everybody puts up activated the subplots and gives them life. Episodes without his directness tend to drag.
