Beginning in 1968, around 10,000 Subaru 360s were imported into the United States. The car achieved notoriety when Consumer Reports branded it “Not Acceptable,” based on fuel mileage numbers less than half of advertised, dangerous doors that came open during testing, and a 0-60 time of 37 seconds. GUUUUUUH I’m so tired of answering this question. The sources are not hard to find if you look.

I think I’m the only one here who still fully denounces the crossover scourge with every fiber of my being, but even I kinda like the Mach-E. If you must have a crossover, at least make it electric, please.

Chonk-E

I like it other than the fact it is called a Mustang (and also that grill).

Exactly. The problem is that the Trax and Ecosport suck.

Are they really that different though? We have a 2016 Fusion, and my parents have a 2014 Taurus, and I could almost swear there’s more room inside my Fusion.

The Asian companies are making and selling these vehicles for a profit. If Ford and GM can’t do the same, they need to just get out of the business. Long term, they can’t bank on the SUV and truck gravy train. Eventually that will hit a dead end too.

The underlying problems with Ford and GM are still present. 2008 and

Shit, I’m in my mid-40s and the largest vehicle I’ve ever owned was a B5 A4. When I need to haul something, I rent a pick-up from Enterprise, like a sensible person.  Trucks and other heavy vehicles are an absolute bore to drive.

Eh, maybe, but even if Ford and GM made a decent compact crossover (both the Trax and Ecosport are two of the worst vehicles sold in America today), they still wouldnt be as good as their competition. The Crosstrek and Kona are two of the better vehicles on the market today at that price range

Same. From an E36 compact, to a MKV Rabbit, and now a Fiesta ST I can confirm that my 6'3" self has no need or desire for bigger cars. Just wish Ford would have brought the latest batch of ST twins over, wouldn’t mind ‘sizing up’ to the focus st. Hell even the rumored/spied Puma ST would have been fun to cross shop

In the case of Ford, the problem was there was too much overlap between the Fusion and Taurus... as well as too much overlap between the Fiesta and Focus.

As someone who has purchased a 2014 Fiesta (ST), 2018 Forte and will buy an 2019/2020 Impreza soon, I can confirm that small car owners do like to stay with what they know.
