That shot of newborn Jon was reminiscent of the last baby closeup, Crater's son's eyes turning icy blue. Before that, it was Joffrey's Kingsguard killing infants across King's Landing.

Nailed it.

Great call. A shot of Varys rolling into Dorne in the next episode might actually make the Dorne stuff to date have a reason to exist.

Jon not only has a witch, but his other little brother just did become a demi god. If they'd been willing/interested in shooting for the moon to surprise us here, Bran showing up now could have made almost anything happen.

Another reason to attack now is the one Stannis used, about winter and how it's on its way.

Also interesting that Sansa inadvertently helped Littlefinger fulfill his promise to Cersei, with Jon in the role that Stannis failed at.

It would put a nice bow on the flashback to Cersei's prophecy, if she applies the third golden shroud herself.

Wow, could we get a new show that's just those three all the time? That would be crazy good.

Funny how all that time the Hound was schooling Arya, she was actually modeling appropriate behavior for him.

His scenes this episode didn't seem plodding and predictable.

Anyone know if the River Run castle was a real location? The entire thing seemed like it was there; the details of that drawbridge were terrific. I saw no hint of CG, as with aerial shots of King's Landing, The Twins, etc.

It was great how she tried her new superpower and it fizzled. She's still just starting to realize how the rest of the world, based on bits of news and rumors, sees her. I think that was a good character moment to push her to calling in LF. Which, of course, will be a disaster.

I was trying to figure out how that wooden frame was going to turn into the Tower of Joy.

By the time Cersei gets done with it, King's Landing is going to be one hell of a repo.

I've been saying (OK, fantasizing) all along that Syrio was just one of Jaqhen's faces, so this can really happen and then everything will be fine.

Maybe she gets rid of the HS, then installs herself as the Mother figure, to fill the theocratic power vacuum. She could be Queen/HS to Tommen's diminished role of King.

Release the Scythe!

I got a good laugh imagining the town of Deadwood springing up around that Sept he was building.

I've been wondering who the HS would choose as champion in Cersei's trial. I think you nailed it.
