I agree — it certainly could. Stranger things have happened on this show. I just have a hunch that's not where the writers are going with this, but I've been way wrong before.

I watched the scene again where Brienne offers her service to Sansa. Sansa looks at Theon for guidance before saying yes, and he gives this perfect, half-Theon, half-Reek head nod. Like his mind is rebelling — his eyes stay in that unfocused middle distance as when he's waiting for Ramsay to hit him — but his body

I was certain I'd never care about Theon/Reek again, but seeing him hack away at some Boltons with a sword was a nice redemption moment. Now I hope he's around a while.

I like this theory, and it would fit in a lot of ways, like Mel being surprised that Thoros could do resurrections. However, the rest of the show seems to want Jon to fulfill the vision she saw of him. (After he's no longer dead, that is.)

Yes, I haven't rewatched the scene, but that was my sense, too. The Beast came into the classroom and would have killed everyone if not for the watch.

I was worried they might settle for a "Babe the talking pig" version of Ember. So, kind of relieved they went with a stylization that the budget could handle, even if it wasn't great.

So, does anyone know what Lev was upset about?

D'Jargo?

Book Penny as (Ross + magic) is pretty funny.

| They despoil such a magical world with their very presences and insequirities and quirks and drug addictions.

I would guess that one of the variables Jane experimented with was the start time of each loop. A few days forward or back and maybe that explains Margo/Janet's parents changing their minds.

My HP knowledge is sketchy, but I think you're right — that's where the comparison between Magicians and HP breaks down. The show seems to be giving Quentin more concrete reasons for his flaws than the books — suicidal/mental hospital — but that doesn't seem to me to correspond to Martin's backstory. If anyone in the

Has this show ever done a montage to stitch those kind of details together? I can't remember one. I'm sure some people dislike them for good reasons, but in a case like this, where they are trying to keep three and sometimes four complex storylines going simultaneously, it seems like that'd be a great tool for the job.

I agree about Julia. Over the season so far, it's been too many wide swings from "oh no, she's completely on her own!" to "now she has a group to teach her magic!".

The Office is a good comparison. The sooner you can forget the original, the more you'll enjoy the adaptation for what it is.

It does make one wonder what's keeping them from dropping in a Weird Science reference. Oh, aside from the fact that half the audience wasn't alive yet.

Was this the second week in a row with an Inception reference?

Yeah, all that grass and topiary really threw me at first, because in my hazy book memory the Neitherlands were wall-to-wall stone and concrete. And weren't the library buildings hulking things, looming over the fountain plazas?

Also, consider that Fillory is equivalent to Harry Potter or LOTR, in the world of The Magicians. There are definitely fans who would risk worse than ghosts to have that gig.

Nice callback to the Why Penny's Shirtless whiteboard.
