Robert's boar, Joffrey's bolt, Tommen's nightmares.

I agree about enjoying the time spent on the other plot lines. It kills me that we can't have more of almost everything; that every minute shown is with the opportunity cost of something else not shown. This could be five shows and I'd gladly watch them all.

I think TVW's comments about the lighting were spot on, but agree with Erik about the weak CG of Dany in front of her banner. Also, the White Walkers just kind of aren't doing it for me… not sure why, but they come off as a little more cartoonish than menacing.

I took it to be more like a shrine; like a circle of standing stones with an altar in the center.

Yes, I think there have been a couple references to 'regular' zombies having blue eyes — the one that attacked Mormont, and in Osha's story about her husband, I think.

"So as soon as you help me murder your little brothers, let's go grab a beer."

Yeah. Imagine him negotiating his payment with Olenna. What would he ask for? Probably not just gold, if she could offer him something with more leverage. Maybe to be named Hand, if Tywin should happen to bite it?

Seemed to work OK for King Robert for, what, almost 20 years? Realistically, how long is a good run for a king of Westeros anyways?

And the sequel: 'Jorah Locker II: Stuck in the Friendzone'

Future King Littlefinger: We don't torture.

I'm wondering if Littlefinger took the rewards of Harrenhal and marriage to Lysa as backhanded compliments. They probably weren't his first choices for lands and a wife.

I thought he meant the Tyrells, too. It will be interesting to see what his "gift" was in return.

Yes, this.

Yeah, the Lannisters don't seem too keen on religion, aside from Tyrion's self-characterization as the God of Tits and Wine.

OK, yeah — from her perspective that fits, and then I guess that'd put her and Stannis in the same category.

But is that what Jaime really believes, or just posturing to scare off Loras?

Whatever the smallfolk want, with Robb's death, the Greyjoy's invading the north, Stannis heading above the wall and a potential split of the Lannister/Tyrell alliance over Joffrey's death, Dany's job just keeps getting easier.

Even worse than the people who were glad Joffrey got killed? Cuz I hear those people are pretty bad.

Dany should go under dynastic succession/seizing opportunity, since the Targaryens took power the same way Robert took it from them. Not sure there's been any claim of divine right other than Stannis's, and that's from the theology of a new diety imposing on the old ones.

This seems like the best reasoning for the Tyrell's motive, but it would only work if they can pin the deed on someone else. Everything that happened between Joffrey and Tyrion was rather unpredictable, so who was their plan trying to frame? Sansa? If so, that's about as cold blooded as it gets.
