I find it amusing how people continue to ignore that this is a QB league. Brady threw 4 TDs to 4 different guys, accounted for all team TDs, against a generational defense, brought the team back in 4th quarter, in a game where they had no run success at all... and you think a wide receiver should have got the MVP?

I think AB might be right. His old helmet will not lessen his protection. That is because it seems he already has CTE.

I am waiting for Saints to be screwed (in a key game) by this new rule... that would be the true justice.

This is how rants should be done!

True. It’s like NFL rules. More pages a rule has, more obtuse it has to be.

The only way purchase of such team merchandise can be justified is if it contributes 5 cents to the team and $39.95 to the juvenile cancer research.

The flag and the anthem signify something internally too. Patriotism is not just defending the country from external dangers... internal dangers are equally important. There is no point in defending the country so that people can complain... and then deny them the right to complain.

Reading the comments here it seems clear that Big Ben is the ‘fan cancer’ of this team.

I get the impression that most of the women in Ben’s life are named “Hey, baby”.

I am all for giving people, especially football players with all the consussion issues, the benefit of doubt. But how do you get separated from your fellow players, in a narrow tunnel, in a narrow timeframe, having previously agreed to stay away from the very same narrow tunnel during that very narrow timeframe? Alarm

If I remember correctly (AFC North games aren’t exactly neutral faves to follow to be honest), Browns were playing Ravens? So there was no good outcome in any possible scenario.

It is possible that he wouldn’t be doing it if he hadn’t already made his money. However, anyone willing to put their career on the line deserves the benefit of doubt. IIRC, Ali was a wealthy man and the most famous boxer at the time of his protest. It was important because he was willing to sacrifice his immense

Unclosed too, if you note.

so players could “demonstrate their appreciation to the RCAF, including its board of directors, staff and investors”

Why bother when everyone is in on it?

I don’t think so. A player basically sacrificed his opportunity to do what he trained his entire life to do, and the music business guy here is basically going to do more music business. There is a stark difference.

Not surprised. I think history will show that the players were truly, truly alone on these protests and a lot of people made sympathetic noises and went back to their comfortable lives, leaving the protestors alone to face the consequences.

Give it time, (pre)season has just started. We will see progress on reddening of Jon soon. By uh... week 2 he should be ripe.

Marcus Mariota only runs smoothly against cupcakes but completely falls apart against an opponent with even a whiff of competency
