I host Christmas dinner every year, and the roast alone costs close to $100. But I do it because I like to (and also because hosting means I don’t have to leave my house!), and if I get to a point where I feel like I need to start charging people, that’s when I’ll stop hosting.

I thought the same. I was once out for dinner when bruschetta was popular, and I ordered the “bruh-che-ta” and the waiter was kind enough to inform me that it was actually “bruh-ske-ta”, and I really wanted to punch him in the face, because NO ONE says it like that. Douche.
