Me watching that video:

I saw this elsewhere and I have to be honest - this is the least interesting thing to ever have gone viral (in the sense I’ve now seen it on multiple sites) in history. Oh ok so you put in some random nonsense string of characters you would never have any reason to put in and it makes your Chrome “crash” and by crash

You know the famous story about Star Wars, right: how almost those young actors got bilked on the first film, but Alec Guinness and Luke Hamill had the experience to bargain for points on the profits? Harrison Ford got a flat $10k. Chewbacca’s actor got $450 a week. David Prowse says he’s never been paid a dollar more

This is an incredibly stupid argument, and it’s amazing that it’s still being trotted out.

But then you’re looking at an already perenially unfair situation and expecting VAs to queue up for something that’s clearly not going to come through patience alone. How many decades of the games industry, and that still isn’t happening? It’s hard for the tech artists to strike because there’s a lot of them, but

Yeah, if anything it’s a very clear example of why devs should be unionized. Without protections in place their employers abuse them.

Except that many employees have to wait until government resumes to get paid. Which means having to use their savings to pay for things like rent, food insurance, etc...

Why would any woman date Penn? Fame and fortune be damned. It’s not worth the abuse.

So is this a good time to discuss Penn’s shiny new defamation suit against the Empire creator? For the record, I think they’re both losers on this one (albeit to different degrees), but it’s going to be real interesting to see how far Penn will be willing to drag this out—I’m assuming he’ll back down riiiiiiiight

I don’t get Sean Penn’s appeal. When I think about him I just get all gaggy.

As someone who went through the last one I can assure you I didn’t get paid. I just had my salary reduced by about 20%. Sweet gig right?

I don’t want to get into it with every moron trying to shout at you, but boy, do I ever love it when people start quoting “power of the purse” as a reason why it’s okay to shut down the operations of the world’s greatest superpower as a political maneuver, as though the Constitution says “Lo, and when thy dost not get

Those numbers really perfectly illustrate the fact that these guys show about as much respect for tax dollars as they do for toilet paper. $2.5 billion in losses from the last shutdown... and they are going to do it again over $500 million of funding that is only loosely tied to the issue they are up in arms about.

Actually, government shutdowns were not an internet of the constitution. The government shutdown is part of the anti-deficiency act which was strengthened in the 80s

22% who say it’s more important to eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood

Yeah, I’m sure James Madison really wanted the government to shut down over doctored anti-abortion videos

Except it’s not even getting to the point where the president would have any say, because the Republicans (as most of them have admitted in this last week) do not have enough votes to even get the thing out of the Senate. So uh, yeah. Ball’s in their (idiotic) court.

More fun with 2 players. Single player just isn’t as good.

I agree that there should be checks and balances, but I do not agree with the way that it is being used in recent years. It is Congress’s job to approve a budget for the government. When they fail to do their job, the government shuts down, negatively effecting millions of people. At least this year’s threat to

This looks to me like they got people out of the slurs front office and made them stand there for this vine.
