My kids liked Ratatouille. But they have never asked to watch it again. They have asked to watch Cars well over 50 times. And I have probably seen Cars 2 about 25 times.
As far as I know, his Larry the Cable Guy on the radi was similar to Mater in cars. He was a nice guy who would get big words mixed up. He made pretty good money doing it. And it was still pre/ early internet so people in Baltimore never knew he was calling stations in Detroit and Jacksonville.
Cars 2 was a lousy movie and tanked in the theaters.
Most of the kids I know are under 8. I would say that Trolls is bigger than Up!, Wall-E or Ratatouille. But Cars is massive. Next time you are out shopping or near kids, look at how many kids are wearing Lightning McQueen clothes. Or go head to Toys R Us and see how many Cars toys are still for sale at all time. …

The Larry the Cable Guy thing started in the 90's. He was a struggling stand-up comedian working under his real name. But he used to call different radio stations across the country using the Larry the Cable Guy character. He then started touring as Larry the Cable Guy. And his career exploded from there.
