More than that, I never quite understood the criticism of Friends being particularly unrealistic. Plenty of folks live in diverse cities, but whose social circles are anything but diverse.

Is this a fact or just your assumption? Why can’t someone who already considers women important be a #girldad? Maybe it could just be a hashtag showing dads that are proud to have their daughters in their lives?
I also use this in reverse. Thanks to the power of math, 72/6%=12 years == 72/12years=6%
as much as I would like a miata. my wrangler holds 2 dogs, camping gear, canoe and handles the average 50+ inches of snow/year.
Personally, I’d rather eat at a place with perfectly fine food and a fun/unique environment or spectacle. Those places stick out far more prominently in my mind than someplace with really good food (which is pretty subjective) and charge $$$ to eat at. I remember Rainforest Café, Planet Hollywood and Medieval Times so …
“Girl dads are very different from “fathers” because they’re a specific type of cis man—and they are always men, because #girldad is not nuanced enough to include gender-nonconforming parents or children.”
No just no....
There’s also one at Gurnee Mills, which I visited last March with several friends from college and their assorted children. The kids ran around, the adults ate overpriced quesadillas, it all worked out pretty well.
I still get angry when this comes up, especially in the same conversation as Friends. I cannot overstate how important and amazing Living Single was to woc like me everywhere when it came out, and it just got better and funnier and edgier. All the episodes are on Hulu, ladies! It’s worth the monthly fee alone (of…
It’s also a good idea to compare it to your lowest marginal return investment, assuming you have more than one investment.
Honestly this discussion pops up every couple of years, and this is all I can think about
Anyone else thinking of the Motherboy dinner and dance from Arrested Development?
Social Media and its participants are by nature, bullshit. But Sweet Lowered, no one is making you suffer.
Um I’m fine with Bryant criticisms. The woman had a touching moment with him that in particular related to Gianna. As a sports reporter I’m sure she had a working relationship with him and obviously feels grief. It just feels pointlessly gross and mean. I’m as cynical as they come but nah. And if you think Jez hasn’t…
it’s important to understand that that debt is cancelling out a significant portion of your investment returns. I have 30,000 in debt at 4% and I have 30,000 invested making 6%. i’m getting a 2% return on my investment. If I could strap in and pay down that 30,000 in debt in one year while pausing my investment, I…
Nobody is suffering through this.
Lol, ok. Modern journalism and internet culture has brought about this world of complex topics being reduced to feel-good memes and hashtags. This is the world we live in now and sites like this helped bring that about.
Not that I don’t enjoy reading the site. But still, more than a little ironic.
What? There seems to be a whole lot of projecting, or something, here. It’s pretty clear that “girl dad” is just a dad who enjoys being a father to girls, rather than, like, pushing to keep having kids until he gets a boy.
Windows Defender “plenty potent”? Ummm... no. Not even close. There’s quite a few known viruses and worms that can saunter right past Windows Defender and encrypt your drive. I would only trust Windows Defender as long as it takes to find and download a better antivirus.
However, as PCMag correctly notes, this screen doesn’t detail that companies could combine this data with other information they have about you to create a pretty accurate profile of who you are and what you do..
