The single most important thing to know about index funds is that “index” isn’t a magic word that makes these funds good. The index a fund follows can be literally almost anything. Investing in an Emu index isn’t likely to produce the results for which one would hope.

Checks *could* be a form of credit - and I know I used it as such in my leaner days. A long time ago you could delay check processing by microwaving the check to mess w/ the magnetic ink .....
By “2% of all purchases” I assume you are making up a premium a store adds because they choose to participate in a system wherein they can accept credit cards?

If you go past the billing cycle you pay interest - if you don’t it’s free credit.
