I hear ya, but at the same time, there *have* been times I would have liked the option to just TELL my show to pause, rather than having to get up from my comfy spot to grab the remote or my phone. Or those times you walk half way across the room and realize you forgot to pause. Or you want to start the next episode

I don’t have a question. I just want to thank the Lifehacker staff for keeping all your posts as apolitical as possible. I wish the same thanks could be expressed to all the other sites in the family. I expect politically-charged posts when reading Jezebel, but can do without it while learning a new way to

I’m really disappointed in the speaker quality in the Tap. Comparatively speaking, I have an Echo and think that speaker is pretty great. I was under the mistaken impression that the Tap was using the same speaker in its setup, but it’s not. It also seems to use some sort of auto bass control. At lower volume levels,

That’s exactly it. It’s the convenience of Google Now or Siri without being tethered to a device. It sounds small, but it’s *very* useful - especially when you’re cooking, doing dishes, etc. That said, this item isn’t a necessity. You’re paying for the convenience.

“less accidental triggers with Alexa”

The night I was watching that horror movie and all of a sudden I’m hearing this man’s voice in my kitchen... Because the Echo started playing some talk radio station.

I actually like the implementation. There are a number of extensions I don’t use often enough to keep on the toolbar, so I hide them. But on the occasion where I do need them, having to go all the way into the extension menu to enable the icon is annoying. This solves that problem nicely. I guss I just don’t go into

How did I miss this?

I wish one of these navigation apps would allow for sensible destination deviations. For example, you’re on a road trip and would like to find the nearest McDonald’s that’s *on your route*. As things are now, you basically have to kill your current navigation, search for a McD’s, and the app will take you wherever the

I thought using soap on these was a big no-no?

Also, I would suggest saving your bacon grease in a container in the fridge and reseasoning with that instead of the Crisco. Trust me. Then invite me over for dinner.

Edit: Reading further into the comments, I guess the soap thing is a myth? Good to know.

Old comment, I know, but QuickPic now has cloud features included and is still free.

“The most valuable item on the list? A 1985 “Yak Face” collectible from Kenner, worth $23,000 in boxed, mint condition and $300 loose.”

I feel like I’m drowning in wireless headsets. I have yet to find a pair that I can wear all day comfortably. I have a 12 hour flight coming up and would love to have something comfortable to wear for as much of that flight as possible.

I have almost the opposite problem as you. The MX Revolution and Performance MX felt perfect in my hand. After about a month of daily use, I’m still having a hard time adjusting to the Master.

It's been my experience that not all Android devices support OTG connections.

The takeaway, as always, is that there is no good reason to attend NFL games.

Great article. It competes only with your article on using the flat side of your knife to spread butter.
