He’s a witch! Burn him!

Manual transmissions. There, I said it, and I’ll happily turn in my “enthusiast” card. Clutching in stop and go traffic was a literal pain in the ass that I’m perfectly happy never experiencing again.

Can someone post the most satisfying list? The pay wall is infuriating.

Life’s too short to hate.

I roll with Cars & Bids.

Yes, the majority of big tech’s “innovations” are old ideas done worse.

The Loop – which runs underground from an area near the Convention Center’s West Hall to the South Hall, involves bringing people into Teslas at “stations.” They are then driven by a human – sorry folks, no self driving in the tunnel – through it to a drop-off point.

Hadn’t thought of that, I was wondering why it took them so long to stop. I freely confess I wouldn’t have had the presence of mind.

I love seeing systems like this operate. I am a huge infrastructure geek and seeing things “behind the curtain” of normal everyday life is fascinating. Years back I was building a data center and we installed a halon fire suppression system and I desperately wanted to see that go off.

All of this because he lives in a country where the cost of healthcare would kill him otherwise. This is all great and warm and fuzzy, but let’s not forget that this would not be necessary in a country with a working healthcare system for its citizens.
