Sounds... Tricky
I get to write about video games for a living, have cheap rent (thanks Kansas!) but also have fast internet because I live near Kansas City.
Alone time, I need. 10 minutes, at least.
I bought and read a lot of those expanded universe (post-Endor) books when it didn’t look like anything big was happening in that era. They just did whatever. Some very good, many decent books and quite a few bad ones. But it had character.
Sure, the prequels were there but I prefered diving into stuff like the X-Wing…
i can accept having a laser sword and telekinesis, but a man having red hair? that’s a bridge too far
All I want is a new, good Rogue Squadron game, but I’m glad to hear folks are digging this!
I have found memories of playing that game freshman year of college. But in hindsight I’m willing to admit it wasn’t that good. Shout out to Solo for bringing Teras Kasi back into cannon.
It’s the same thing that I can’t fathom when people say that there’s Star Wars fatigue cause there’s too much content. Like, don’t you remember what it was like to be a star wars fan when knowing there wasn’t nary a single movie on the horizon, and all you had to tide you over was pretty much fanfiction?
I’m pretty sure AJ already killed Deadspin.
Thank you Deadspin. It has been a truly fun and enlightening experience throughout.
You’re forever with me, leather.
Tremendous review, thank you.
Three thoughts:
1) The cinderheaded knobs on Twitter who don’t think that Kojima’s work is political are the strangest of people
Heather, this is my favourite review of yours in a while out of consistently great articles; it’s wonderful and insightful. Tim, I’m only twenty-odd minutes into the hour, but it’s typically playfully elegant and soothing to listen to.
