Did anyone else grow up thinking killer whales/Orcas were called "shamus" because of sea world? I grew up in a town with one and the orcas were all called shamu. So until I was 14 or something, I thought "shamu" was a type of whale. Literally, until someone asked me about killer whales and I said "you mean shamus?"

Right? I know I'm probably no different from any other woman out there, but the bleaching has had me wondering for years. I never had the courage to google it either, knowing it would look so weird in my browser history. But of course it's down to the acids, that makes total sense now that I think about it.

They have faced this unimaginable tragedy in the public spotlight together, completely united on behalf of their sons: The one who was murdered, and the one who survives. God bless this family.
