I miss the gearbox from my old AP2 S2k, but I don’t miss the clutch feel; that’s the one area where I feel the S2k left me wanting. It was more of an on/off engagement than something that provided a progressive feel.

Story time, please.

Did you notice any lucid dreaming? I tried some nootropics back in like 2008 and the only change I recall was some super crazy/intense dreams...

Yeah but that bill is in canadian dollars so it equates to something like $46 American

I have a feeling that if someone were to go through the pain and expense of doing a powertrain swap in an F355, they’re probably going with something that is absolutely overkill...

probably too small/light and would change the balance of the car too drastically. I can’t find any info/specs on the Tipo 129B/C that would help determine what a good swap is, but who knows, maybe the turbo components of the 1.4 would make up the weight difference.

More than anything I was refraining from suggesting an

Cool project, but I’d like to see something more the opposite, such as a 355 with an engine swap that would make that beautiful car daily driveable without putting you in the poorhouse keeping up on maintenance.

Your vacuum game sounds like the exact opposite of the game we played at my job at the carwash when I was in high school.

Unless I missed it, how much did you pay for this project?

The www.vwcourtsettlement.com site had language that said: “If you owned an eligible vehicle on or before September 18, 2015 and sold it before June 28, 2016, you may be eligible to participate. Likewise, if you were leasing an eligible vehicle as of September 18, 2015, you may be eligible to participate.”

Agree 100%, and to add to this complaint, why can’t they program cars to automatically turn on their headlights when the windshield wipers have been activated? (from intermittent to full blast, not just from hitting it once)

Sooo many people around here (Houston) drive in the rain in conditions with terrible visibility

A very fair point, but even as a lawyer I have to slow down my brain to make sure I read all of the fine print whenever I’m signing the final docs when buying a car because the excitement of it all makes me want to fly through it so I can go play with my new toy.

Though, I guess that position is a little harder to

I’d be OK with paying for these annual inspections if they were actually enforced to keep crappy/unsafe cars off of the road. But, like you pointed out, this is not the case. I’m in TX (which surprisingly requires inspections) and up until a year ago you used to get TWO stickers every year (inspection and

It’s actually a misconception that the WET mode is for track driving in the rain.

As a non-texan who has lived in Houston for 8 years, I didn’t know that texans actually used their garages to park their cars. As far as I can tell they use their garages to hold all of their shit, and then park their cars/trucks in the driveway in front of the garage. It just makes no sense to me given the

I’m 6'5" and daily drove one for two years without problems. Only looked funny getting in/out of it; once I was inside I was more than comfortable.

Not to mention the fact that the large majority of people that can actually afford to buy high-performance cars are in their twilight years, and literally don’t have the physical energy or mental capacity to row their own gears.

Longest I’ve done in one sitting was Houston, TX -> Columbus, OH, leaving at 6pm and getting there a little bit after noon. Leaving late in the day was ideal for me as I had 2 dogs in the back of the car (so they slept the majority of the time), but it was on this trip that I determined that 15 hours is the absolute
