I don't see that team-up happening at tall.
I don't see that team-up happening at tall.
I don't think I can listen to Naomi force that "Feel the Glow" catchphrase anymore. It just sounds so lame and toothless. What kind of a threat is it supposed to be? And when she… pauses… to emphasize… each… word, all it does is emphasize how ridiculous it is.
It must really suck to be Tamina. She gets zero reactions out there. If there had been more stink on Jimmy Snuka's name before he died, she probably wouldn't have a job.
He really is the complete package. In the ring, on the mic, at the Talking Smack table. And if there is a chance he can compete again, it would be a shame for him not to go at it with Styles or Nakamura.
I guess the repackaging of American Alpha as a heel team won't see the light of day any time soon. It was so odd to just throw Gable out there in that US title match, especially without Jordan providing any kind of backup or outside support. One would think his tag team partner would be out there for something as big…
Star Trek? Go back to your mom's basement, nerd.
"Less is more." Wise words once told to me by my mentor, Les Izzmohr.
In this YouTube exclusive*, she pronounced it "guh-dote". Or possibly "guh-daught".
Is Bennett any good? I really didn't watch any of his stuff with the Kingdom or his cup of coffee in TNA. I hope he's not just another generic white indy guy.
If there isn't a double switch at GBoF, they really don't know what they're doing.
It's kinda like back in the days of Saturday Night's Main Event which would air in the SNL timeslot. So the big main event, usually involving Hulk Hogan, would start around or just after midnight, and then they'd have filler matches after that. Their thinking was that wrestling fans would peter out that late, so they…
Heavy Machinery?
Right. At least he's not getting cruiserweight-level silences out there. And it doesn't seem like X-Pac heat either… so far.
I like Graves way better than Booker T. Half the time Booker just repeats the last thing he said, just slooowwer and with more pauses. The other half, he's fumbling with the English language staying stuff like "pick your poison" when he really means "pick your battles." Sure he's got passion, but it's hard to listen…
Wrong Vince.
You'd think they'd want to protect Lana a little bit by not having Naomi kick out of her finisher the first time she used it in a match!
As someone mentioned elsewhere, Nakamura is pushing 40, and they probably want to preserve his body for the long haul, hence keeping him from the punishment of the ladder match. Not entirely satisfying, but if it means he'll be 100% for his future matches (Nak/Styles WM, I'm looking at you), I'm okay with it.
That's so weird, considering how back in the 80s, the NWA was all about creating strong heels and the Fed was the land of the super-faces. Maybe Vince should get himself a WWE Network account and dig into that NWA library to see how to get it done right.
Re: the tweet crawl during Talking Smack — I know the Fed culls all the negative shit from their Twitter account, but damn, those were some pollyanna rah-rah messages from the fans. "Best MITB", "Baron Corbin is my favorite", etc. I really hope they're all trolling just to get their names mentioned, but there probably…
(I think this is the longest bout I've ever seen Mahal in, and he did a credible job)
