A trip to the ER and an MRI later revealed no lasting problem, and it had slowly gone away while I went through the ER admission and MRI scan. Super weird, but I brought a sense of adventure to it which prevented it from being horrifying.
It was basically a migraine, still have them (or rather stress headaches or whatever they're called currently) occasionally, but the vision loss hasn't come back, at least not that huge. I don't honestly remember how fast it came back. I know it was good once I was out of the hospital again.
