I’ve always had a fascination with putting the two door body on the longer four door frame. Lengthen the back with fabricating skills I don’t have and creating a tiny little pickup truck.

We have a really low minimum wage, no mass transit system and many rural areas where most transit schemes wouldn’t be cost efficient. But our poor people, especially rural ones, still need transportation. Thus we have low or nonexistent minimums for inspections and insurance.

Agreed, I prefer a 16" wheel with decent sidewall for a daily driver. Works better in the real world, especially here in the third world infrastructure of Pittsburgh.

I think the pain comes and sustains near the EOY 2020. Companies will lose their “compassion” for their employees as federal aide dries up and they see they can run a lot leaner even when remotely (less head count - especially middle layers of corporations, less office space, less everything). That’s the problem, you can get a bigger, more capable truck for the same money. There were plenty of Gladiators at the local Jeep dealership for well into the $50k range. That’s 3/4 ton truck money. I love the idea of a Wrangler pickup priced to compete with midsize offerings, not so much priced against 1/2 to 3/4…
