The cops are exempt from those laws. I seem to remember a story about a California cop that killed someone while typing on his laptop. No charges filed, DA said cops werent held to the same standard as civilians.

Your meter looks like it has, from left to right, ohms, direct current voltage, alternating current voltage, and alternating current amperage settings. Your getting bad amperage readings because it doesn’t have a direct current amperage setting, most meters don’t. Find one that does, and you’ll get your reading.
