If you don’t have the flexibility to move, or can’t make enough to pay your bills, then you should live within your means and learn a trade or educate yourself to increase your value. It’s not the government or private businesses job to ensure that you live within your means.

There’s a very easy solution to avoid being taken advantage by your employer. QUIT YOUR JOB. I have done it many times in the past. Service industry jobs are a dime a dozen.
