Aftermarket radios can fix that. Fiero has a Panasonic with Aux-in. I do plan on upgrading it to those “retro” headunits that have bluetooth but still fit double-DIN and look stockish. Really don’t need the CD player part anymore.

Some soft touch surfaces, bluetooth is at this point an absolute need (I drive a lot for the Army,) good comfy seats with stiff bolstering, a third pedal is nice, and most importantly - enough horsepower to put me back into my seat a little and giggle. If I don’t feel like laughing when I step on the gas, no thanks.

Each blade goes through an up and down motion (flapping) to correct for dissymmetry of lift. This occurs mostly on the left and right of the helicopter, but the blades still can flex up or down towards the front to, say given a strong wind. Not to mention if the cyclic gets bumped forward, or the SAS/FPS freaks out…
Fuck you its January!
All true. I wouldn’t be surprised if you could do that pretty easily in our smaller platforms either - like the OH-58 (flew the Alpha/Chuck at Rucker),UH-72 Lakota (a glorified EC...135? 145?) and the OH-6/MD-500. I still watch this and wonder how, when applying torque, there wasn’t any whiteout. Very cold/heavy snow,…
I wouldn’t want do to any kind of pinnacle without the crew chiefs in there giving us guidance. You guys are life savers.
At least for us, if the wheels/skids touch the ground, it’s technically a landing and logged as such. Though as another commenter said, it’s more like a hover with minimal ground contact lol.
Yeah as far as I know the Victor is Guard only - and we don’t get the Mike flight control software stuff. Just avionics, blades, etc.
When we do get the Victors from CCAD, gonna have to go over them with a fine-toothed comb. We’ve had all sorts of issues, say, with rags being in the fuel tanks.
Sadly, I consider the Victor vaporware (see what I did there) until it shows. It’s waaaaay behind the initial promise.
Tell your peoples that they need to steal the IHADSS from Boeing and give us a similar system! Lol.
Yeesh. That makes me nervous. Mind you, I fly the relatively heavy Blackhawk, and our rotor extends waaaay out past the nose. Something like 11ft, and the blades can flex down off the nose fairly far - limiting the angle of the hill we can do a pinnacle to. That, and you really have to watch the torque applied - too…
Man, that really sucks. He was one of those actors that was in everything and you’d go, “hey, it’s that guy!” My two earliest memories of him are Star Trek The Next Generations “The Schizoid Man” and Dr Zito in two episodes of MacGuyver. Then Civ V embedded his voice into my subconscious.
They do make those movies. Nobody goes to see them. Complain about the mass market. They’re the ones watching these movies, and enjoying them. Not every movie is going to be Oscar-bait.
Care to elaborate? (Not being snarky, genuinely curious)
Good to see KC in the news for a good reason every once in a while! NKC is a separate town, worked with a few of their officers from time to time. Good people.
Straight Pipes did a review on the ‘18 Nismo Z and they seemed to like it. I’ve always liked them, but dunno if I would be willing to spend up towards 45-50k when the same will net you a topped trimmed Mustang GT and within reach of a GT350.
I found 2018 SHOs with 20XXX miles on them for 27k. Seems like a good deal - but not sure if it’s worth getting. (Will be replacing my Focus ST this year with something. Stinger GT, SHO, Charger SRT, Focus RS, Mustang GT, Veloster N, Golf R.....something.)
NG officer type here.
Can’t wait for Ace Combat 7. Assault Horizon sucked, but 7 looks to be a return to form (and Strangereal.) One of the few games I’ll pre-order...mostly because of the pre-order only F-4E Phantom II. I fly that in every Ace Combat, even though it’s garbage most of the time. One of my favorite fighters.
Metro Exodus is…
You’ve probably been told this before, but: the slow pacing is the point. It forces you into a slower, more measured way of playing that gives a perspective on the time. Or at least, that’s my take.
Feel you on the controls, but I can get past that usually.
