Ouch. How did I miss that?
Ouch. How did I miss that?
Yeah because indie shops never rip anyone off lol
Everything looks very upscale but also very cold, and continues Polestar’s inexplicable fixation on ensconcing its passengers in concrete.
That’s a great question.
The current four-door record is a 7:20.2 belonging to the BMW M4 CSL
I get that it’s long exposure, but the fact that all of the light trails are shaky means the camera was shaking for a while but the rest of the photo is clear which doesn’t make sense to me. Oh well, I’m drunk and no longer care.
Ok but what’s up with those shaky ass light trails in the lead photo? How/why
DSG? It’s not a Volkswagen so no. DCT? Also no, but it doesn’t need to be. Modern M cars don’t use them anymore because they can make torque converter transmissions just as fast and strong with much less complexity, and they’re much nicer to live with.
Aww he actually thinks he’s good enough to be in F1 without his daddy’s money.
Conservative? 150 degrees of rotation is going to be terrible, progressive or not. People have difficulty being accurate with a linear full-rotation steering setup, so this is going to be a shit show at near lock. These cars are going to drive like a video game at lower speeds and will not be predictable for anyone…
Pretty great, actually. Some growing pains due to being a new company (they try their best to not be just a branch of Volvo, for better or worse), but overall a great experience so far. The next couple of years are going to be pretty huge I think.
An electric XC60 or XC90 with 300 miles of range would sell like crazy if it was priced competitively.
I work for Polestar and we’ve had orders in for single motors since last year, they have just not been released from port to make their way to customers until now. Not sure why the article says they’ve just now announced it, because they’ve been announced for quite a while.
I mean maybe he was referring to never seeing the Precept, which would make sense as there’s only one and it’s made of clay. But yeah, they’re around.
The two test drive cars at Polestar Denver are white, so decent chance it’s one of those haha
I don’t doubt these things exist and maybe if I lived in Sweden I’d see one on the road, but Polestars are like trees that fall in desolate forests. Still gorgeous, though.
It’s the 5, should be here in 2024
If you read the articles you’d probably understand why lol
Butts.
What I’m gathering from the comments is that Jalopnik readers would rather Toyota and everyone else just leave an empty space for their Pioneer double-din and throw a suction cup mount on the windshield for their 5 year old iPhone. Screw innovation, am I right? Man this place is depressing sometimes lol
