To my (admittedly limited) knowledge, the function can work even with no phone power. I have used a Samsung to open a BMW, and the battery wasn’t dead but the phone was definitely turned off. I don’t know if the tech is the same for Huawei, but I would imagine they both use NFC. Once paired with the vehicle, the phone…

The only BMWs that come in FWD are the 2 series and X2. Literally everything else they make is on a RWD platform (even the AWD variants). Hell, even the i3 is RWD. What are you even talking about?

Yeah, second row still has decent legroom when forward. So, assuming you don’t have three 6'6"ers sitting in a line behind each other, it’s surprisingly good on legroom.

I feel your pain, buddy. Every jackass in a GTI or WRX around here tries to race me any time I’m on the highway. I usually drop a gear or two and give a quick little throttle blip making them waste their gas until they realize they’re not racing anything. There’s almost always a huge puff of vape smoke immediately…
