Yeah, I get what you’re saying. The thing I have an issue with is that you pay to change this track car into something that is effectively worse at doing what it’s made to do, just so you can drive it to the place that it is meant to be driven. I struggle to imagine an uber-rich not having at least a few more options…

Yeah, seems legit. You could buy one hell of a nice trailer for $200k. And something to pull it.

We have people who trailer their racecars into our service dept. quite regularly. Not sure why that would be a bad thing. It’s not like you wouldn’t already have a trailer for it.

I think it’s because if you didn’t know which of the three C’s they were running on that weekend, you wouldn’t know if they were running on the hardest, softest, or mediumest of the three options. Helps you understand pit strategy a bit more.

I think that was the point he was making. The implied question being “how hard is it to understand?” and his response was “next to the least amount of hard.” Or at least that’s how I read it.

Yeah this seems like another case of “anything that came after E46/E39 is crap because the internet says so” to me. That bandwagon is getting old. 

Funny... The words “fat” and “lifeless” were far from my mind while driving it. And don’t worry, I’m quite fond of its predecessors too. But hey, maybe your driving experience with it was different than mine (and just about everyone else who reviews this car). Who knows.

That much I don’t know. I’d assume there’s a way to reset the interval yourself, as there has been before, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they made it next to impossible for the regular schmo. Will have to do some digging.

Yeah, you’re right. The 8 just gets special attention. From what I understand, all of their V8 engines going forward will have them. Pretty sure the new G05 X5 has it too.
