"Rip off" is going a bit far. It's not like this guy owns some kind of design right in the vehicle. They clearly saw his car and liked the way it looked, and decided it would be cool if Bumblebee looked that way in the new movie.
Use TrueCrypt and create a small TrueCrypt container on the flash drive. Use the hidden feature (its there in the wizard) if you are really paranoid. Or just rename the TC container file on the pendrive to something like thumbs.db or conf.msc or something inconspicuous, done!
